there are things none of us dare to say
secret feelings we'll take to our grave
old feelings we thought would go away
new feelings that scare us
feelings we don't understand
our problem is we all lack honesty
we don't want to know what would happen
if we just confessed how we feel and how we felt
we want people to think we're cold and hard
unfeeling and aloof
because we're all so scared of getting hurt
we're all so scared of rejection
