I am Peter Pan
lost in Neverland
alone
all the Lost Boys have grown up
and left me
and Wendy doesn't love me anymore
and even Hook is tired of our games
Tinkerbell is tired of me, too
and good god,
I don't know what to do
Tiger Lily is old now
her roar so quiet, quiet
Neverland isn't Wonderland
to me
anymore
I have no happy thoughts
how can I fly?
no pixie dust
for me
I'll never be man
I'll always be a boy
How can a little boy be so sad?
I'm so young
yet I feel so old
Neverland dies with me
Neverland can't fly with me
but I can't fly anymore anyway
what do I do?
there's no one
but me
why. am. I. so. alone?
even my shadow
has run away
and I don't have anyone
to stitch it back
maybe I've stopped believing
in fairies and pirates and mermaids
and happiness
I am Peter Pan
but I'm not Peter Pan
anymore
