it's time to let go
you have listened to me speak
three hundred and ninety-nine times over
and it's time for you listen to me speak
for at least one time more
(there's a difference between listening and listening)
i've been trying to teach you
kindness, peace, love, friendship, humility
forgiveness, patience
by showing you how i mess up and telling you stories
but a lot of you won't listen
so all i ask is
for you to listen this time
because i'll never stop trying to show you
what you can't seem to see
even if i have to repeat myself
four hundred times over
