she doesn't realize that
underneath her skin
she's beautiful
he thinks
he's not tall enough
to be loved
he's not handsome enough
to be loved
he's not strong enough
to be loved
he's not worth enough
to be appreciated
he doesn't realize that
underneath his skin
he's beautiful
they don't realize
that outward beauty doesn't last
you get wrinkles, you sag, you shrink
but a smile shows you lived a happy life
and a happy life is what everyone wants to have
a kind heart is worth more than what the mirror shows
