humans
are not content creatures
we always want a little
more
no one just wants to be loved
or cared about
we want to be
adored
w o r s h i p p e d
jealousy consumes
power corrupts
society persuades
hope destroys
and the thrill of adoration
sells
(at the price of a soul)
