I haven't known you
for that long
but I like our late night conversations
talking to you on the phone
your voice goes husky after a while
I've never known anyone
to tackle me
for a rice krispies treat
but you jumped on my back
and knocked me to the floor
and I laughed
(it had been a long time since I laughed)
we ended up splitting the treat
and I swear
nothing has ever tasted so sweet
I'm hesitant to go
any further than we've gone
but
I've watched you play with her
she's my world
and you took such care of her
laughed when she called you a princess
blushed
when she said I could be your prince
but you didn't say no
I wouldn't mind being your prince
I won't mind staying friends
you make me feel young
and you're just two years older than me
I feel so young
energetic
you're so energetic
and positive
I feel
boyish
like a schoolboy crush
I guess
I have a crush on you
and I can't stop eating these rice kripises
treats
but I also can't help but wish you were
there
here
