It had finally started.

What was anticipated to be the final battle.

The moment it became two in the morning, the front gates of Kang's Imperial City experienced collision after collision as forces of Huang, Na, Lee, and the Frozen Battalion decided to invite themselves in. Guards and soldiers that were stationed at the front were thrown off-guard by the amount of soldiers that they were met with (no pun intended).

A sea of tens of thousands of men pushed through the small town before they reached the gates and began knocking down the doors and trampling over every single soldier that they were met with. The wave was impossibly large, frightening every civilian and enemy it came in contact with. It seemed like it couldn't be stopped.

These men guarding the gate had no choice but to fearfully call for reinforcements as they continued to fight back as best they could. By the time the reinforcements came, more than a quarter of the men that were originally positioned there had already lost their lives. Despite this loss, they fought back with just as much force as they were given. It was soon that the men of Kang could finally see a spark of hope in their victory against this engulfing force.

However.

Not even ten minutes into their defense, they received another call for help. More soldiers were coming in from the east, west, and north gates, and the group doing their best to fight in the front could only regrettably and pitifully send more and more people to help defend, losing the gain they were just starting to get.

The scene was chaotic.

From the view of a bird, it was like looking at ants within a square running around in circles trying to fend off against an enemy surrounding them from all sides. Although Kang had more soldiers, the outside forces were still slowly taking head after head, as if chewing off the stump of a giant tree. Dead bodies piled up where there was a lot of fighting, blood and missing limbs scattering the grounds. These attackers were relentless.

But, the defenders expected nothing less as they continued to fight back, taking back nearly just as many heads, not once giving up.

What they didn't realize, amidst the bloody chaos, was the group with the crown princes quietly sneaking right through the walls of the City. With ease, this group had flawlessly fought through a small crowd, losing no men in the process despite their smaller numbers.

The empire's Imperial City was large, but it wasn't as large as Huang's. It could only amount to half of the size of Huang's and nearly three-quarters the size of Lee's, yet the owner of this City was definitely not cheap with interior design. The tall roofs of each building were crafted exquisitely, and despite being old, all of the shillings were still intact. The overhang of the walkways were decorated on the inside ceiling with beautiful wooden carvings and paintings, definitely not inferior to the beautiful structures of the expensive Na Imperial City. However, the size was almost shocking in how it can still hide so many soldiers, making Jeno wonder about the living conditions of these men.

As the group moved through the City, led by Youngho with a map, they found that the interior wasn't as complex as they had expected. Residences were placed around the inner City almost neatly, with long pathways making it easy to move around. And, just as they expected, there weren't many people. Even servants had gone into hiding, nervously protecting their masters. Not even a single soul could be seen wandering the City.
