Izzy's POV

Issac's is 10 months old now, and he is looking more and more like his father. As I was getting our son ready for the day, I heard him say something that shocked me.

"Mama." Issac spoke which I cried happy tears.

"Did...did you just say mama?" I wanted you to know.

"Mama!" Issac repeated as I immediately called Jake.

"Jake come in here for a minute." I said as he came in.

"What's up?" Jake asked.

"Issac said his first word and it was mama." I told him.

"What did you say Isaac?" Jake wanted to know.

"Mama." Issac repeated one more time while he was pointing at me.

Jake's POV

As I picked up my son, I was proud of him.

"That's my clever boy. Who's that?" I asked him.

"Mama mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama mama." Issac exclaimed while he kept saying mama.

"Okay let's see if he can say more words. Issac can you say chair?" Jake asked as he was pointing at the rocking chair.

"Chair, hehe." Issac said.

"Can you say uncle Cubby?" Cubby asked as he entered the room.

"Uncle guppy." Issac exclaimed trying to pronounce Cubby.

"No, my nephew Cubby." He told him again.

".....Uncle guppy hehehe." Issac got that wrong again as we all laughed minus Cubby.

"Hey, did I hear someone talking?" Stormy wanted to know as she walked in with a cup of juice for Issac that was in a sippy cup.

"Dormy!" Issac said her name which was close. But almost got it right.

"Hey, Cubby, looks like you got a competition there." Jake joked as we all laughed.

"Hey, can you say dada?" I wanted to know.

"Jake." Issac exclaimed.

"No, buddy dada." I repeated.

".....Jake." Issac responded.

"Dang it." I said as they all laughed.

"Sorry, Jake he tried though." Izzy said.

"Oh, look on the bright side, at least he got your actual name, right. Lucky." Cubby exclaimed as he left.

"And where are you heading off to?" Stormy wanted to know.

"I'm going to go make breakfast for all of us." Cubby told her as he left with Stormy following.

"Come on Issac, say dada." Jake told him.

"Hey you can't force him to say it, babe. Give him time." Izzy said as she was right.

Once I looked at our son he was sucking his toe.

"Aww, cute." Izzy exclaimed.

"Ew." I said.

"Oh come on, you did the same thing when you were little Jake." Peter said as we turned around and saw him leaning against the wall.

"Where did you come from?" Izzy wanted to know.

"Through the window." Peter said.

"Peter!" Issac said as Peter was shocked that his grandson said his name.

"Way to go, Issac." Izzy congratulated him.

"Hehehe, mama!" Issac exclaimed.

"Can you say, grandpa?" I asked.

"Grandpa!" Issac excavated as I smiled while Izzy was laughing.

"What did I just say about calling me grandpa?" Peter wanted to know.

"Bwame Jake." Issac told him.

"Can you say cupcake?" Izzy asked while holding a picture of a cupcake on her phone.

"Upcake." Issac almost got it right.

"Can you say Daffy Duck? Tinky Winky? Or try saying dada again." I asked.

"Daffy Duck, Tinky Winky, Jake." Issac answered.

"Good job, Issac! But I was hoping for you to say dada for me please just this once." I begged.

"........Jake!" Issac exclaimed.

"Okay, I'm done." I said as I left the room leaving Izzy and our son alone.
