You both sat in silence waiting for the other to begin, it had been a few minutes since you'd agreed to talk about it. You didn't really know what to say to him.
"I'm sorry I didn't contact you last night, I got... uh-"
"Drunk?" You finished for Hank who nodded his head, you had a feeling that he had drank his woes away. "I had a few too."
"Doesn't make you feel any better though, does it?" Hank questioned as you let out a long, heavy sigh.
"Nope." You admitted as you rubbed a hand down your face.
"If it makes you feel any better, at least you didn't wake up in the bath tub. I did." Hank told you, making a quiet laugh slip from your mouth.
"Does make me feel a bit better." You reassured him as you began to tap your hand on your leg.
"You spoken to blue eyes at all?" Hank then asked, you sat in silence for a moment thinking of how to answer.
"I have. He feels like shit about what happened, I'm still furious at him. But I don't... I just I feel like I can't blame it on him completely. He's new to emotions and- I dunno." You sighed not really sure how to explain anything to Hank, you knew he was probably furious with Nines too.
"I get what you mean, does he know you're still mad at him?"
"Absolutely, he also thinks you might hate him now." You told Hank who took in a sharp breath.
"I don't hate him. He started it, technically. But I understand why he did." Hank mumbled as you turned your upper body to face him.
"You do?" You quizzed as Hank nodded his head, he had an almost guilty look on his face. "That's good I guess."
"Why didn't you tell me that Connor was treating you like shit?" Hank then asked, this completely caught you off guard, you sat beside him stunned to your core.
"What?"
"In an attempt to make himself look innocent last night, he blurted so much shit out. He treated you like shit and you didn't tell me." Hank explained, making you swallow hard. You wished that you could have told Hank, but you didn't want him to hate Connor.
"I didn't want to cause a rift between you and Connor. He's like your son." You murmured, trying not to look at Hank directly.
"And you're like my daughter. You should have told me, I would have sorted him out. Not that I'm saying it's your fault, it's not." Hank rambled as he started to tap one of his hands onto the steering wheel.
"I know... I'm sorry. I just hoped he'd sort his shit out." You apologised, watching him tap his hand on the steering wheel.
"For something so smart, he's too stupid to do that." Hank grumbled, you wondered what Connor had said to Hank.
How had Hank reacted to it all?
Did you ask? Or leave it?
You sat in silence not wanting to poke around in Hanks business with Connor.
"Look, he admitted everything and you know what, I told him he deserved what Blue eyes did. He didn't like that I said that, but it's true. Blue eyes reacted how anyone should." Hank explained to you, you hadn't been paying attention to where you were until Hank was pulling into the car park. Hank pulled into a space and cut the engine, but didn't move to leave the car. "Especially someone in love."
Your eyes widened at Hanks words as you twisted your head to look at him, he gave you a knowing look.
"I'm not sure what-"
