You were now halfway through your meal, Samuel had kept forcing Nines to try food from his plate as well other peoples food (including Hanks).

A few times you'd noticed Connor looking at Nines with envy, you were sure he couldn't taste like Nines could. Just another feature Connor didn't have.

Everyone had been very talkative, except from him, but he didn't really speak much any more. He wasn't like the old Connor who spoke all the time, he was very silent.

"I just wanted to say again, thank you so much for inviting us all here." Samuel's grandmother thanked Hank once again, Hank shook his head quickly.

"No need to thank me, I think we all needed it." Hank smiled as he piled more onto his fork, before then shovelling it into his mouth.

"We... did... yummy..." Samuel said with his mouth completely full.

Looking at Nines you saw the mortified look on his face, "Samuel, you should not talk with your mouth full." Nines exclaimed as Samuel twisted his head towards Nines.

"But-"

"Don't talk to me until you finish your mouthful." Nines commanded as a small huff left Samuel.

"He's right, Samuel, it is rude." His grandfather called out as Samuel chewed as fast as he could.

"Sorry." He mumbled before he went back to eating, he didn't seem too bothered by being scolded by Nines.

The table fell silent once again, most of you enjoying your meal. Hank was right.

You needed this.

Yet you couldn't wait to finish and go home, it meant you could be with Nines and relax. It meant he could too and no longer have to pretend he's a machine.

It didn't take everyone long to finish their food, Samuels grandmother excused herself to go to the toilet while Hank and his grandfather offered to go and get some more drinks, Connor in tow behind them.

Leaving you and Nines alone with Samuel.

You glanced at Nines and nodded down at Samuel, this made him raise an eyebrow at you, so you nodded down at him again.

This only made the confused look grow on his face.

'Tell him.' You mouthed to Nines, who shook his head at you.

'Is that a good idea?' Nines mouthed back to you, as you nodded your head vigorously at him.

'Do it, he'll love it.' You once again mouthed, as you then pushed your bottom lip out at him.

You thought that Samuel deserved to know that his favourite Android was now a Deviant, you knew he'd love it so much.

"Samuel." Nines called out to Samuel as the small boy turned his head to Nines.

"Yes?"

"How good are you at keeping secrets?" Nines questioned as Samuel blew air out his lips making a strange noise.

"Secrets from who?" He countered as Nines sighed.

"The other Android and Hank." Nines answered as he glanced at you.

"I can keep a secret from them." Samuel responded far too quickly, his head whipping back around to look at Nines.

"You promise?"

"I pinky promise." Samuel said instantly holding up his pinky finger, Nines hesitated for a moment, probably knowing that there was no turning back once he told him.
