In a matter of minutes the jury re-entered the courtroom as one person stood in front of the entire courtroom. You could feel your heart almost leap into your throat, there was no way they could give the verdict of not guilty, right?

There was no way she could go free, not after everything she did, after all the people she hurt.

Every single person in the room seemed to be on edge, you had decided that you wanted to watch her reaction when the verdict was read, so you turned your head to look straight at her.

But for some reason she was the only one who seemed calm.

"We the jury find the defendant... guilty of all charges." The spokesperson of the jury called out, a loud sigh of relief slipped from your mouth the moment those words reached your ears.

Many people around you seemed happy, but watching the woman made your blood run cold. She didn't look upset, instead she had a twisted smile on her lips. She'd just been handed a life sentence in prison, and she was smiling?

"Now my baby girl can rest easy." You heard Samuel's grandfather mutter from beside you, you dragged your attention away from the woman to look at him.

His face was filled with relief, tears running down his face effortlessly, justice had been served and now his daughter's murderers were going away.

So many others had already been sentenced.

She was the last.

"Samuel can now have a normal life..." You breathed out as he looked at you, more tears spilling down his face as he nodded.

"So can you." He mumbled as he grabbed ahold of your hand and gave you a smile of gratitude. "Thank you so much, thank you for never giving up on this case."

You knew you didn't need to say anything back to him, he wasn't expecting you to. Silence was once again called over the court as the closing statements were made and the case was officially closed.

It was finally over.

The woman stood as a guard came to take her, she searched the room until her eyes landed on you, you stared back with a determined look on your face. You weren't scared of her anymore.

She held your gaze as she was cuffed, she then smirked at you as she mouthed to you.

'This isn't over.'

Her words meant nothing to you, you would never be scared of her again. She was going to spend the rest of her life behind bars, you had the urge to give her the middle finger, only it wasn't appropriate. Instead you shook your head at her.

In a strange way you felt bad for her, she went from being this terrifying leader who frightened you, to now just being a pathetic woman.

In seconds she was being escorted out of the room, you couldn't wait to leave the courtroom.

It meant you could be back with Nines.

You shimmied out of the room with Samuels grandfather behind you, once out of the room you waited patiently for Nines to exit the room.

The moment you saw him you just wanted to plant a kiss on his lips, but this wasn't the place for it.

No matter how much you wanted to do so.

The first to exit the room was Hank, his eyes connected with yours as a smile crept up onto his lips.

You just couldn't help yourself when you rushed over to him and threw your arms around him.

"We did it!" You sighed as Hank returned the hug, he held you tight.

"We did." He chuckled as he gave you a big squeeze before letting you go, you stepped back as both Connor and Nines exited the room.
