Chapter 43 Loading Bags and Passing By

We were allowed a lay in today, we didn't have to get to the office until twelve to half twelve since there had been a mix up with coach hiring. I was awake at ten and Smith was still asleep as far as I could tell. I got out of bed and got changed into my Stunt lads shirt and raven claw jogging bottoms with my converse, I was definitely not going to win any fashion contests but I was comfortable.

When I went downstairs I let the dogs out in the garden, Ross' brother was going to come by and look after them walst we were gone. Trott came down as I walked back into the dining room, 'Good morning, did you sleep well?' he asked and I shrugged my shoulders, 'Not too bad I guess.' I told him and started boiling the kettle as he leant on the counter.

Smith came down next then Ross and finally Katie, there were a pile of suitcases and bags at the door ready to go. We were all eating our breakfast and talking, Ross was still quiet but we all sounded like we were looking forward to it. Walst we were eating our breakfast the door bell went. I got up to see who it was, I opened the door and who I only assumed was Ross' brother was stood there. 'Ross it's for you.' I said and the guy nodded, I went back to the dining room and Ross went to the door.

Once the dogs were gone we got ready to leave, we were talking Smith's car to the office me and Ross were loading all the bags into the back of Smith's car. 'How long does it take to get there?' I asked as Ross and I loaded all of our stuff up. 'Around two hours depending on traffic.' He said carrying on. I stopped and watched him, 'How are you doing?' I asked he ignored me at first, I held his arm as he lifted a bag into the car. 'Ross, are you sure you can do this?' I asked him, 'We will have to find out wont we.' He said. 'You guys all ready to go?' Smith asked walking out putting on a hoodie, I let go of Ross' arm and told Smith there was just one last bag. 'Yep all set to go.' I told him.

Everyone got in the car and we drove to the office. When we got there Sjin and Lewis' cars were the only ones there, Sjin and Lewis were leaning on their cars and Hannah was just coming out of the office. I hopped out the car and went over to Lewis and Sjin, 'Hello you, you look excited.' Lewis said putting his arm around me as I hugged him. 'I am.' I said letting go, 'Well the coach will be here in twenty minutes or so.' Sjin said looking at his phone. 'When did you lot get here?' Hannah asked walking over with her back pack in her hand. 'Just now, what the hell is in that backpack?' I asked her, 'I get bored. Hey what's with Ross?' she asked, I looked over and he was sat in Smith's car still on his own. 'Kim and he split.' I told her, 'What the fuck? Why am I only finding out about this now.' She said I shrugged my shoulders. 'Is he alright?' she asked I shrugged my shoulders, 'I don't know if I am honest.' I said and Duncan's car came into the car park, 'She's probably in there.' I said gesturing towards Duncan's car. Hannah walked over to the car and I walked back to Smith's car.

Smith was leaning on the side of his car looking at his phone with one hand in his pocket. I put my arms around him and he put his phone in his pocket. 'This is the first time we have been away you know.' I told him looking up. 'So it is. And it's for work. Wait until we have to go to America. That's fun.' He told me, 'It's more of a holiday than work since we spend more time relaxing and having fun rather than working.' He told me, 'Sounds fun.' I said and he kissed me. 'Get a room you two.' Duncan said walking past with a bag over his shoulder, I felt embarrassed and chuckled and Smith did the same, I stood next to Smith and watched everyone else. Kim got out of Duncan's car and pulled her suit case across the car park, I looked at Ross who was sat on the back seat he tracked her across the car park just watching. Smith put his arm around me and kissed the top of my head and pulled me in closer and I rested my head on him.

By half twelve the coach was here and we were loading it up, everyone was here, Sips had shown up fresh from the air port in his taxi and people were just socialising with each other, I don't know what we were waiting for. Smith, Ross and I were still over by Smith's car and Smith was talking to Sjin and Duncan were talking drones and I was talking to Katie. 'Ok people load up, we head out in five.' Lewis shouted. Everyone started heading over to the coach. 'Ross?' I said he was in a daydream, 'Come on mate.' I said he got out of the car I closed the door. I walked over with him, 'You alright?' I asked him and he nodded, 'Yeah I am fine.' He said smiling at me, 'Thank you.' He said I smiled at him, I didn't know what he was thanking me for but I took it.

We all got on the coach, we all seemed to have who we were sitting next to sorted out already. Sjin was sat next to Sips, Lewis and Duncan, Hannah and Kim, Trott and Katie, Turps was sat in the seat at the front that a teacher would sit in if it was a school trip and Smith and I were sat together and Ross sat behind us. Some other people had headed down earlier to start setting up stands and stuff.

'Ok have we got everyone?' Turps said over the general chatter, 'Good, let's get going.' He said and the doors of the coach closed and we started moving. We had barely been moving five minutes and someone let Hannah get hold of the stereo and was blasting Five and S club 7. Most of the others were singing along but Smith and I were listening to music on his phone, we each had a ear piece and were listening to Ed Sheeran. I rested my head on Smith's shoulder and watched the world pass by.
