There was a slight chill this morning, I was wrapped up in the duvet right next to Smith. I looked over him and it was quarter to ten I was pretty sure that I could hear people downstairs. I started to blow gently on the back of Smiths neck making it tickle, he flinched a couple of times before he rolled over to look at me. 'Good morning.' I said and he grunted, I don't really think Smith is a morning person. 'Come on honey get up.' I said rolling over my side and looking at my phone. He grunted again and rolled over to face the ceiling, 'I am going for a shower and you better be up and ready once I am done.' I told him and he sat up and looked at me puzzled. 'But I don't want to go to school.' He said taking the piss. 'Very funny, but seriously if you are not up and dressed we are going to be late for breakfast.' He sat up more and I smiled as I went into the shower. I turned the water on and pressed play on my phone to listen to music, I had to scroll through a couple of times until I found I song I wanted to listen to. I finally settled on 'Go Your Own Way' by Fleetwood Mac.

When I came back out Smith was just putting his belt on, 'Look I got changed all by myself.' He said in a childish voice. 'And I am very proud of you. Your such a big boy now' I said looking through the wardrobe for something to wear; I really needed to do some washing. 'Did you speak to Ross last night? Was he alright?' Smith asked, I told him what I had told Ross. 'Good, at least it's all out in the open now.' I could see him getting upset again. 'You told me in the end, that's what matters. Your better now.' I said then looked over at him. 'Do you still take them?' I asked and he looked up from his belt buckle. 'Not for a while no, I just kept them just in case, the doctor said to keep them since some days are better than others.' I nodded and understood. He finally buckled his belt, kissed me on the top of my head and went downstairs.

I finally got changed into my stunt lads t-shirt and blue denim jeans and went downstairs to join the others apart from Ross who was out walking the dogs. Kim was sat in her dressing gown at the end of the table, eating a bowl of cereal and tapping away on her tablet. Trott and Katie were eating as well at the table and Smith was at the kettle in the kitchen. 'Good morning all.' I said walking into the room and they all greeted me. Trott was alright, Kim didn't sleep very well and Katie had bad back pain and her and Trott were going down to the local clinic soon to see if they could get some better pain meds. 'I need to be at work, I have had too much time off and people are getting grumpy at work.' She carried on her conversation with Trott. 'If you're ill then you are ill you can't do anything about that, it's not your fault.' Trott told her and she just sighed. 'You should just quit and focus on your jewellery shop online.' I said walking into the dining room with Smith following me. 'See, it's not just me who thinks it's a good idea. You don't need to work.' Trott told her putting their two empty bowls inside each other ready to take them through. 'You lot work really hard, I don't want to not pull my weight.' She told us wincing at the pain in her back. 'Pull your weight? Katie you cook meals for us, you clean up more than anyone and you wash the guys underwear. You are pulling your weight and some.' I told her. 'I will think about it ok. Come on Chris the appointment is in twenty minutes.' She said struggling to stand, Trott helped her up and then put the bowls into the kitchen and they headed out.

Kim didn't talk to anyone, she just played around on her tablet in her dressing gown and Ross had been gone some time. Smith and I were in the kitchen tidying up and when we went into the utility room I pushed the door too. 'I think something is up with Ross and Kim.' I told him as he filled up the dishwasher. 'How do you know?' I put my hand on my hip, 'Are you blind? Kim hasn't spoke to anyone and Ross is still out after being out for ages.' He shut the dishwasher. 'Maybe but getting involved is exactly what we shouldn't do.' He told me raising his eyebrows at me. 'I won't but Ross has been gone for a while.' I told him. 'Fine text him and see what he is up too but no more than that. You getting involved is not a good idea, Kim might get the wrong idea again.' He said leaving the room.

I went up to our room and texted Ross on my phone asking where he had got too. I didn't get a reply and used the time to tidy up and do some washing. Half an hour later I my phone vibrated, Ross had replied, he was sat at the park letting the dogs run around and he would be back soon. I took all of our dirty washing downstairs and started the washing machine.

I went through to the dining room and Kim was still sat at the end of the table. 'Do you need any doing?' I asked her I think she didn't hear me. 'Kim.' I said a little louder and she looked up and I re asked my question and she shook her head. 'Have you heard from Ross? He has been gone for a while.' She shook her head again and I sat at the end of the table. 'Are you two alright?' I asked technically braking Smith's rule but I was slightly concerned. 'Peachy.' She said sarcastically, 'He was a little distant after what ever happened. We didn't talk much last night. I tried and he was just quiet and reserved. Maybe you could get through to him. He seems to talk to you.' Her tone changed slightly. 'Yeah he talks to you, a friend, but not me, his girlfriend.' I shuffled in my chair and crossed my arms across my chest. 'We have a lot in common, what with the anxiety etcetera. We are both comfortable around each other and find it easy to talk to each other.' I told her and she closed her I pad. 'And I am thankful that you are there for him. I just feel like I can't help him when he is like that.' I nodded it is difficult if someone you love is being distant with you and not acting their normal selves. 'You just need to not pressure him into telling you what's wrong and not jump to conclusions that it's something you have done because normally it's a little thing but because we keep it to ourselves it is magnified. Just let him know that you won't judge him and you will get through it together.' She smiled at me, 'you are a little expert on this, you're like a councillor.' Kim said before thanking me. 'Yeah she is like Jeremy Kyle but quieter... most of the time.' Smith said walking in. 'Do you ever listen to what I say?' He asked leaning on the back of my chair. I turned around to face him, 'sorry I didn't catch that.'
