Chapter 63 Insanity and Atmospheres

I was so tired last night I think I was in bed by nine. But I was totally worth it,I felt so much better when I woke up this morning. Smith was still very much asleep by the sounds of it but I couldn't hear any other sounds in the house. It was nine o'clock and I didn't really know what time we were going to leave for the office.

I got out of bed chucked on Smith's cornerstone mayor hoodie that was hanging on the door of the wardrobe and stepped out of the room.I walked downstairs and instantly put on the heating since it didn't feel like I had some on yet.I Think the boiler was playing up. After making myself a cup of tea I let the dogs out into the garden and sat in the dining room enjoying the silence.I Shuffled back in my chair and I felt a slight pinch where my stitches were,I Held my hand to where they were and sighed before getting up and getting my bag from the hall.I Grabbed the pain meds and sat back down pouring one out of the bottle and swallowing it followed by my tea. 'That's not fun.'I Said to myself, 'you know talking to yourself is one of the first signs of insanity.' Ross said as he walked in with nothing but his Pj joggers on as per usual. 'Yeah well that makes us all insane I guess.'I Said taking another big gulp of tea. 'You don't look comfortable.' He said pouring water from the kettle into a black mug. 'I am fine.'I Told him as he walked over to sit next to me with his coffee. 'I am sorry for being a dick about everything by the way.' He said and my shoulders dropped, 'If I could change one thing about you Mr Hornby it would be making sure you don't apologise as much as you do.'I Told him drinking the last of my tea, 'sorry.' He said and we both looked at each other before laughing.

Katie and Trott came down around half nine both still in their Pjs too and we all sat around the table. Trott said he wanted to leave for the office by twelve if possible, from what I can make out they were all working last night up in the attic until ridiculous o'clock last night/this morning. We would love to just stay at home and record but we only had headsets and the difference in audio quality would be noticeable to say the least. 'Alright I will go and wake up Smith.' I Said standing up, 'don't forget these.' Katie said holding my bottle of pain meds,I Took them and thanked her before going upstairs.

I opened the door and Smith was laying in the middle of the bed with his arm over his face, 'Are you awake?'I Asked and I got no reply,I Picked up one of the smaller pillows that sit at the base of the bed and threw it at him, it landed just on top of his head and his whole body jumped slightly. 'Are you awake now?'I Asked and he grumbled, 'we are going soon.'I Told him and he moved his arm from his face. 'How long have you been up?' he asked,I Told him an hour or so and he got up and went into the bathroom and I started to get changed.

We left for the office at eleven and got there not much later, there were only a few artists and in house editors in I think. Trott offered to make us all tea and Ross Smith and I walked down to the office.

When we walked in it was freezing,I Was pretty sure it was warmer outside than it was in here. Smith powered up the heater and placed it in the centre of the room as I slowly lowered myself into my chair. 'Do you want a pillow or something?' Ross said watching me slightly squirm in my chair.I Nodded and Ross produced a pillow from behind his desk, it had a felt version on his Minecraft character on it.I Placed it behind my back as Trott walked in, 'Abbey is sat on Ross'...'I Looked at him with daggers for eyes,I Knew what he was going to say and I was not prepared for Smith to get all funny. 'On Ross' pillow.' He said handing me my tea and I chuckled to myself slightly as I found it funny that I was sat on Ross' face.

We recorded a bunch of GTA races and a few worms episodes, the office felt so weird when it wasn't during the week but with Christmas approaching at a rate of knots it would be something I would have to become accustomed to. We took a break between recording for toilets and stuff.I Came back into the room after using the little girl's room all three of the lads were sat back at their computers. They worked so hard pretty much all of the time, pulling late nights coming in on the weekends.I Was feeling a sense of pride that I was part of something that people dedicated so much of their lives to.

I sat back at my desk and was instantly bombarded with cats dancing and dogs playing pianos.I Spoke too soon about the working hard. 'What the fuck is this?'I Said in a high pitch pointing at my screen which currently had a dog with shades and a hat ''playing'' the piano. 'A dog playing a piano.' Trott said like I was stupid,I Rolled my eyes and loaded up Photoshop.I Was just about to start on the thumbnails when a nerf bullet landed on my keyboard. It made me jump slightly and I stood up and looked over my partition at Smith. He was sat there with a small nerf gun and a guilty smile on his face. 'You are just a big kid, you all are.'I Said before sitting back down.

I finally finished all my work by four and it was already getting dark outside,I Think we were now the only ones in the office.I Stretched forgetting about my stomach which felt like a pinch.I Inhaled sharply through my teeth making that hissing noise and stood up,I Was in desperate need of some form of sugar after working most of the day and having drunk all of my tea from a while ago.I Walked out of the office since the guys were all concentrating hard on editing or whatever.

Walking into the slightly shadowed littered common room where the fridge for the cold drinks was kept I reached around to find the light switch. The Room was instantly flooded with light and I made my way over to the fridge. Whilst I was browsing my limited choice of beverage Kim managed to scare the shit out of me.I Don't think it was on purpose since all she said was hi.I Looked over the fridge door at her she was stood with her bag over her shoulder. 'Sorry I didn't mean to scare you.' She said looking like she had just been told off. 'It's fine,I Thought everyone had gone home.' She told me she needed to pick up a game code that she left behind. The atmosphere was slightly awkward to say the least and the worst part was it shouldn't be.
