The clanging of plates and cutlery woke me up at ten, my head was surprisingly not too bad after last night but u had stopped drinking a while before everyone else. I got up and changed into some raven claw jogging bottoms and vest top from the suitcase and went downstairs leaving Smith in bed.
When I got down Jodie and Becky were eating breakfast with the kids and I sat and joined them. 'Good morning.' Jodie greeted and I smiled back at her. 'The guys are still asleep upstairs, a little worse for wear.' Becky told me and I chuckled. We ate our breakfast with the kids alone since no one else was awake yet.
Once I had finished I excused myself and went upstairs. I knew where Hannah and Lewis were staying and I wanted to say goodbye since I didn't really feel like staying. I knocked on their door and I heard Lewis say come in. I opened the door and Hannah had her hair in a towel and was putting things in a suitcase and Lewis was doing his hair in the mirror. 'Good morning Abbey. Did you sleep well?' he asked and I nodded lying. 'I think I am going to head off in a bit just wanted to say good bye before I do.' Lewis looked at me inquisitively. 'have you and Alex somewhere to be then?' he asked and I shook my head. 'He is still in bed. Going to catch a ride with someone.' I told him, I didn't know who this someone was yet. 'Are you and Alex alright sweetheart?' Lewis asked again. 'Yeah we are fine, I just feel like going home.' I said lying yet again. 'Ok well we will see you later, thank you for everything.' Hannah said taking the towel off of her head.
I closed the door behind me and went to Trott's room next. We were all pretty much on the same corridor. I bumped into Zoey and Zylus as they went for breakfast and when they had gone I knocked on Trott's door. Walst I was waiting Ross come out of the room adjacent, he didn't notice me at first. 'Hey.' He said like nothing had happened. 'How are you feeling?' I asked him and he nodded, 'not too bad, head hurts a bit but other than that not too bad.' He must not remember last night. Trott's door opened and Katie was stood in her dressing gown with her eyes still half open. 'Are you alright?' She asked and I nodded, 'Can I speak to Chris please?' I asked and she looked behind her yeah come in.' She said stepping sideways allowing me in.
'Chris Abbey is here.' Katie said going into the bathroom. Trott sat up in the bed and looked across over at me. 'Hey what's up?' he asked, 'I need to go home.' I told him. 'Ok give me a minute I will meet you in the hall.' He said getting up. I walked out into the hall, Ross had gone and Sips, Sjin, Ruby and Turps were all walking down the hall. I greeted them and carried on waiting for Trott.
A waited for a little while before Trott emerged changed and with Katie's keys in hand. 'You ready?' He asked and I nodded, I only had my phone with me in my pocket. We walked out of the hotel and to their car and both got in. As we were driving the conversation was very limited. 'Did you speak to Smith this morning?' He asked and I shook my head. 'What about Ross?' I told him he acted like nothing happened. 'He probably can't remember.' We drove the rest of the way in silence until we reached the house.
Trott unlocked the door and the dogs came running up to us before running away again back to the living room. 'There you are.' He said as we stepped in. 'I don't think the rest of us will be too long.' He told me and I thanked him. 'You know what Ross told you about the box. I know you want to know but maybe you should just wait until Alex shows you. I would hate for you to find out walst your here alone and not have anyone to know or talk to. Maybe it's nothing, maybe it's personal.' He told me and I nodded and he left leaving me in the house alone.
I firstly took my shoes off and let the dogs in the garden. I sat on the sofa scrolling through the channels. My phone vibrated on the side of the sofa and the caller ID showed Ross' face, I denied the call and carried on scrolling but I couldn't stop thinking about the box upstairs.
I think I managed half and episode of friends before I gave in and went upstairs to our room. I sat on his side of the bed and looked at the draw for a while. What if whatever in the box causes more trouble than good? Maybe it has nothing to do with me, it could be his mums. But what if it is something I deserve to know? Something important that he has been hiding from me. He wouldn't do that he loves me. And I love him, all the more reason for me not to worry and not to look. The whole time I was having this debate in my head I did not realise the cars pulling out side. I opened the draw and a small shoe box was partially covered by socks and underwear. I think a part of me heard the door open and close down stairs but the majority took no notice. I held the box on my lap and just starred at it, whatever was in this box could change everything. 'Abbey?' Alex said stood in the door way of the bed room. I looked over at him and he looked very worried. 'Please don't.' He uttered.
