Imagine being a Salvatore and coming back to Mystic Falls to visit them, you have encounters with both Kol and Kai. As you get closer with the both of them, one day they ask you an important question...

"Y/N?" Stefan's eyes widened as he opened the door to reveal you stood there smiling, he hugged you tightly before inviting you in. "What are you going back here?" He asked as you put down your bag and coat and looked around the boarding house. 

"I wanted to visit my favourite brother." You smiled at him as he chuckled and hugged you tightly again, it had been decades since you'd seen each other. Stefan always liked to settle down in one place, whereas you loved to travel so that's what you did. 

"It's so good to see you, I've missed you so much." He smiled at you and you returned it warmly, however that smile dropped a bit when you saw someone enter the room. 

"Oh would you look who it is." Your brother smirked as you rolled your eyes and looked at Stefan who was stifling a laugh.

"What a lovely surprise to see you here Damon, oh I've missed you so much." You spoke sarcastically causing his smirk to grow.

"Like wise sis, why don't we go to the grill? Have a good old catch up?" He asked which surprised you, you looked at Stefan to see what he though but he was just as confused as you.

"Okay why not." You shrugged and grabbed your coat again. 

"You in Stef?" Damon asked as Stefan nodded after sighing loudly.

"So where've you been then Y/N?" Damon asked as the three of you sat in a booth, you sat next to Stefan as Damon sat opposite you both. 

"Pretty much everywhere you can go, spending around a decade in each continent. Apart from the arctic, too cold." You spoke as they both nodded, you'd really missed them on your travels. Stefan a bit more than Damon, but still you'd missed having your overprotective brothers around. 

"Sounds awesome, happy to be home though?" Stefan asked as you nodded.

"And how long will you be staying at home then?" Damon questioned as you thought about it and shrugged.

"Who knows, depends when I get bored I guess. When I need a change of scenery then I'll move on. Last time I left there was no such thing as a phone, I had no way to keep in touch. But that's much different this time around so we can still talk." You smiled as Stefan did too, you could easily tell which brother was more happy to see you. Some things never change, you thought to yourself. 

Damon and Stefan bagan to fill you in on what had been happening around Mystic Falls lately, explaining about the whole Katherine Pierce look a like thing and all of the troubles that have happened with the originals in town. 

That's when your eye caught somebody's who was sat at the bar. You vaguely recognised him as one of the Mikaelson siblings, you just couldn't remember which one he was. He stared back at you and sat with a sly smirk across his face and a drink in his hand. You raised an eyebrow at him before turning back to the conversation that Stefan and Damon were still deeply engrossed in. 

"Guys excuse me a second, I'm just going to the restroom." You muttered and stood up, deliberately walking past the bar on your way and straight past the guy sat there. You walked into the bathroom and splashed some cool water on your face before waiting a few seconds and walking back out into the loud grill.
