Part 2 for Teenbeach179 , hope you like it :)

------------------

It had been a week since the ball and to say that you hadn't heard the end of it was an understatement. Elena seemed constantly angry at you and you knew that it was because of Kol. It didn't help that he turned up two days after the ball at your door, asking you on a date. Of course Elena didn't approve, the Salvatore's had backed off slightly as they realised it was no use, Elena just scowled and rolled her eyes.

But you didn't care.

Kol made you happy, he was interesting and you got on with him. You weren't about to let Elena take away a shot at happiness.

"It's seriously not right Crystal." Elena sighed as you were getting ready for your date with Kol.

"Well Elena at least I don't have two guys that I play love ping pong with because I'm indecisive." You snapped back as she huffed before walking back into her room. You shook your head, you were done with having to put up with Elena's nagging. It was your life and you were going to do what you want.

You tried to block out the thoughts of Elena's disapproval and focused instead on the excitement you felt about going on a date with Kol.

Finally you slipped on your shoes and took one last glance in the mirror before hearing a knock at the door downstairs. You'd never ran so fast down the stairs in your life, praying that Elena wouldn't beat you to it. Not wanting Kol to listen to Elena's ranting too.

Thankfully she wasn't in sight as you composed yourself before unlocking and opening the door, smiling brightly at the Original vampire that stood in front of you.

"Hello love." He smiled at you as you blushed slightly.

"Hi." You replied before grabbing your keys and phone, stepping out of the house and turning to close the door. "Bye Elena." You shouted and heard an angry grumble in response. You shook your head and turned back to Kol with a shrug.

"She's still not happy then?" Kol questioned with a slight chuckle.

"No she's not." You sighed as he gestured for you to walk with him. The two of you walked into town and talked the entire way, you couldn't stop laughing as Kol told you funny stories about his experiences all over the world.

"So I was thinking we could go for a picnic and then who knows where." He laughed recklessly as you nodded, laughing with him as the two of you walked in the warm sunshine.

Kol led you down a few smaller roads until he turned towards a small park, it had a few fountains dotted around and large flower beds that were kept neatly. In the centre was a square picnic blanket spread out with two baskets in the centre.

The two of you had the entire park to yourselves as you stepped inside the gate and looked around in awe. It truly was beautiful.

"Kol this is amazing! It's so beautiful." You smiled as you turned to him, his usual smirk plastered on his lips.

"Like you then." He smiled as you blushed before giggling slightly.

"You're so cheesy." You groaned as he chuckled and lead the way forwards, you sat down on the blanket and still tried to take everything in.

"Do you like it?" Kol smiled as he began to open the first basket, retrieving multiple items of food and some expensive looking wine.

"I love it!" You exclaimed honestly, still in shock and amazement that someone would go to all this trouble. Just for you.

He made you feel wanted and special, something you hadn't felt in these years since your parents had died. Yet Kol was witty and could keep you on your toes, it amazed you how a thousand year old dead man could make you feel so alive.

"I'm glad." He smiled and poured some of the luxurious looking white wine into two glasses, handing you one.

For a while you guys just talked and drank wine until Kol opened the second basket and began to set out the various foods he'd bought.

Your eyes widened at the selection, you felt truly spoilt as you glanced at all of the picnic food. Some of it you didn't even know what it was. Kol claimed that he'd prepared it all himself, he seemed very proud and you had to admit that his cooking skills were good.

"Thank you so much for all of this today." You smiled at him as you took another sip from your glass, not knowing if you could eat anymore.

"It's my pleasure, I'm just glad you liked it all." He grinned as you nodded, noticing the way he was slowly moving in. You did the same until your faces were inches apart.

Kol closed the gap and sealed the perfect day with a tender kiss, you kissed back and moved your lips against his as you smiled into it. Slowly he moved away, smiling at you as a slight blush formed on your cheeks.

"So does that mean I get a second date?" Kol questioned with a smirk as you laughed and pushed him away playfully.

"Maybe, I'll have to think about it." You winked and teased him, laughing afterwards as you helped him clear away the picnic.
