Imagine your wedding night with Stefan

Mrs Salvatore.

The name sounded foreign on your tongue, despite the fact that you'd been practising saying it for weeks now. It was a nice fit, but you knew it would take some getting used to.

Today had been one of the most magical and special days you'd ever experienced in your life. Full of beaming families, good food and lovely scenery making it so that you never wanted it to end.

However the party was dying down now, as you walked over to Stefan. He was in a gorgeous fitted suit that only made him look more attractive, if that was possible. His face lit up with a smile when his eyes landed on you as you walked over, he wrapped an arm around your waist and brought you in for a tight embrace.

"Have you had a good day?" He murmured to you as you smiled.

"The best, it's everything I could have dreamed of and more." You giggled as he smiled and nodded.

"Good, I love seeing you so happy." He kissed your cheek as Damon wolf whistled whilst walking over to you both, causing the two of you to playfully groan and roll your eyes. "Well we're calling it a night Damon, don't get too drunk." He muttered the last part to him as Damon laughed.

"Well I know what's happening in my brothers room tonight." Damon smirked and looked between the two of you, the alcohol he'd consumed was making him an embarrassment. "Sleep tight love birds." He laughed before staggering off in pursuit of another drink.

"I know he can't die of alcohol poisoning, but would it kill him to just go a bit lighter on the drinking?" You questioned whilst laughing. You yourself were a human and felt especially vulnerable being around so many intoxicated vampires, however you knew Stefan would protect you if necessary.

You swallowed the lump in your throats thinking about tonight, what you wanted next. You knew it would be a big ask of Stefan, but it's something that you felt you couldn't manage to hold in any longer. You wanted to be a vampire. To live an eternity with Stefan, seeing the world change and just not getting any older.

"Well..." Stefan laughed lightly as you walked into the empty boarding house. "That was a great day, wasn't it Mrs Salvatore." He chuckled as you laughed, Stefan was stood behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist. Tenderly he kissed your neck, peppering little kisses down your jaw and towards the crook of your neck as you sighed in contempt.

Finally he pulled away and turned your face to kiss your lips, his were so soft and warm as you kissed back lovingly. However slowly he pulled away and guided you into your shared room, shutting the door behind him.

He returned behind you and slowly unzipped the back of your long pristine white dress, letting you step out of it and turning to face him.

"I love you so so much." He whispered before kissing you again as you unbuttoned his shirt, pulling away only so that he could take it off fully.

"I love you more." You smiled back against his lips as he chuckled.

"That's not possible." He fired back as you sighed and laughed, however at the back of your mind was the worry of how he might react to your next question. "Is something wrong?" He asked and you realised that you were frowning.

"N-no, I just have something to ask you." You murmured as Stefan looked intrigued.

"Go ahead, you know you can tell me anything." He smiled reassuringly as you nodded, swallowing the lump in your throat.

"I-I love you Stefan, and I don't want to leave you in this world because I'm human; I'm only going to get older and eventually..." Your voice trailed off as he nodded, seemingly to understand where you were coming from. "So I'm asking just one more thing. Will you turn me?" You asked as his expression became unreadable.

Your cheeks flushed pink as you felt suddenly ashamed for asking such a thing on your wedding night.

"It's what you want?" He questioned as you nodded.

"Yes, I want to spend an eternity with you." You confirmed as he nodded, weighing up the options in his mind with a grave look.

"Y/N you know I love you and I want you to be happy, but I just don't know if I can." He sighed as a pang of disappointment hit your heart. "I wouldn't choose this life if I got given a choice, you'll never be able to do normal things. We'd have to move in the next twenty years because people would realise that we weren't ageing." He explained and you nodded.

"I know but no matter where we go, it'll be fine because I'll be with you. Stefan I don't want to get old and die whilst you remain this age." You felt tears threaten to spill.

"But what about your family? What do we tell them?" He asked as you shook your head.

"I-I don't know but please, this isn't what I want it's what I need." You pleaded and cupped his face with your hands. "I want to live with you forever." You whispered.

He leaned in slowly after a long hesitation, feeling his breath fan over your face. His lips connected to yours with slightly more force than before, but you still kissed back.

"I know you'll be happy, but you'll have to suffer. Especially at the beginning of the transition and I don't want to see you in pain." He spoke reluctantly and rested his forehead on yours. "But I also don't want to live forever without you." He breathed out unsteadily. "I love you so much Y/N...so yes." He sighed.
"I'll turn you."
