Imagine being a Mikaelson, but dating Tyler, and finding out that he's cheating on you.

Doubt.

It had been constantly on your mind lately, the distant look your boyfriend had in his eyes is what caused it. His constant mood swings and never being around, seeming nervous around you as if you'd both gone full circle and were acting like you'd first met. It didn't add up at first.

The strange behaviour only intensified however; from sneaking off to calling people late at night, Tyler acted more and more suspicious by the day.

You knew that asking him would get you nowhere, you'd already tried and only got denial as an answer. You were sick of it and sure that something was up.

So you sent Elijah. He was the most logical and calm brother out of the three, intellectual yet tactful. Asking Klaus or Kol was out of the question, they were too malicious and unpredictable.

7:00pm. 7:30pm. 8:00pm...

The minutes were ticking by as fast as the seconds, only making you more and more anxious. Elijah had left hours ago and had still not returned. All you could do was pray that he hadn't killed Tyler.

Elijah's P.O.V

"So how are things with y/n?" I asked carefully as Tyler sipped his strong alcoholic drink.

"Uh yeah...okay I guess." Tyler shrugged as I narrowed my eyes.

"What do you mean?" I questioned, as Tyler fidgeted in his seat at the bar.

"Well I mean...it's a bit on and off sometimes. We argue about small things and from time to time we don't see each other as much." He sighed but still looked like he was hiding something.

"Are you going to end it soon then?" I asked cautiously, wanting to find out the full truth. However Tyler only shrugged in response. "I mean you could have anyone, not some thousand year old vampire with scary brothers." I spoke light heartedly as Tyler chuckled slightly.

"Yeah I guess so...look man there's something I've got to tell you but you promise not to tell y/n?" Tyler asked, I nodded however not saying that I give my word. "Well there's another girl who just...clicks better with me. I don't know what it is but we get along better than I do with y/n...and she doesn't have scary older brothers." He shrugged and joked at the end, a forced smile stuck across my face as I clenched my fists to try relieve my anger.

"I think you should break off with y/n then, she's only getting caught in this web of lies." I suggested, not wanting my sister to be hurt anymore than she already will be. "What's this girls name, may I ask."

"Rachael, she's new around town." Tyler explained as his phone began buzzing, a girls name lighting up on the screen. The picture was of the two of them, with a heart after her name. "Oops gotta go, I'll see you around mate. Oh and don't tell y/n."

I narrowed my eyes as he turned to leave the grill, oh little does he know.

Your P.O.V

Elijah came home late.

By the look on his face you knew what the news was, and it wasn't good. He explained everything about Tyler and some girl called Rachael, it broke your heart and fuelled it with anger.

Why.

It's a simple word, but followed by a bombardment of more questions. Why did he do it? Why did he think he would get away with it? Why were you not good enough?
