where a photographer teams up with a novelist to figure out the truth of what really happened on the night of july 4th. the night of jason blossoms murder.
madison came out of her room seeing andrew who also had just woken up
"what the hell is going on here." raymond said as the girls stopped shouting
"samantha hid my cigarettes." danielle said crossing her arms over her chest
madison let out a groan and decided to get ready for school

once madison, andrew and samantha got to school they all parted ways
madison went into the blue and gold offices to see jughead betty and archie
"look, at the banquet, i heard mr. and mrs. blossom talking. it sounded like clifford blossom was responsible for sending veronica's dad to jail." archie said
"oh my god. if clifford sent hiram lodge to jail, tore apart his family then maybe hiram was trying to get him back and do the same to him?" betty said
jughead wrote hiram lodge on a note card and passed it to madison
"yeah, by going after what the blossoms value most. their family. their legacy. that's a motive." jughead said as madison put that note card on the murder board
"no one tells veronica or andrew." madison said

veronica and andrew had ditched school that day so they could hang out
"so tell me andrew how long have you liked me?" veronica asked as they walked along the trail
"i liked you since we were little, but i realized i was in love with you when you kissed me for the first time." andrew said looking at the ground and smiling
veronica looked to her hands that were laced around andrew and smiled giving his hand a soft squeeze
"what about you?" andrew asked turning to her
"i've always found an attraction to you ever since the dance, and i realized i liked you that night and i realized i loved you at jason's memorial." veronica said looking into his beautiful brown eyes
"has anyone ever told you that you have the most beautiful eyes?" veronica asked as he smiled and turned to her
"has anyone ever told you that you're the most beautiful girl i've ever laid eyes on?" andrew said as she blushed
"you know if my mom finds out about us ditching school i'll murder you." veronica said wrapping her arms around his neck
"i'll suffer the consequences." andrew said leaning in and attaching his lips to hers

after school madison and jughead went back to her house
"maddie i think someone has to tell veronica." jughead blurted out
"i know, you're right it's just that i know how she'll react if her dad had something to do with jason's death." madison replied
"you're beautiful." jughead said quietly
"thanks." madison said with a smile
"oh i said that out loud?" jughead said feeling embarrassed
"you did indeed." she said sitting next to him
"when did life get so crazy?" madison questioned
"i believe after they found jason's body." jughead said as she chuckled softly
"i know that dummy, i mean like how did riverdale go from being an uneventful town to everyone suddenly becoming a murder suspect." madison said
"i know what you mean. i'm still trying to figure it out too." jughead said as he grabbed her hand by habit but she wasn't going to complain
"you think it's possible the murderer could be someone we don't know?" madison questioned
"it's unlikely, why would a stranger kill just one random teenager he doesn't know and then not kill more of them." jughead said
"good point. do you think it could be someone you'd least expect, like cheryl?" madison questioned
"it's possible." jughead replied
