33. blame me

while everyone was at school veronica decided to go over to the montgomery house to talk to andrew. she just had to make sure he was okay. she needed to see him

once she knocked on the door jessica let her in

"are you here to see andrew dear?" jessica asked

"mrs. montgomery i'm so very sorry, i know i messed up really badly and i'll do anything to make it up to andrew." veronica said

"now veronica, i may be upset with you but i will say don't be so hard on yourself. i know that whatever happens between the two of you, you'll never be able to rid of each other permanently. the love you two shared was rare, it was unlike any other young couple i've seen in a while, don't let this little thing be the end of you two." jessica told her as veronica nodded and gave her a small smile

"may i see him?" veronica asked

"he's in his room, he might be asleep but you can come back later because we don't wanna wake him right now." jessica explained as veronica nodded and then went over to andrews room

veronica knocked on the door and she heard some mumbling meaning he was awake and decided to knock again

"mom i told you to-" andrew was cut off once he saw it wasn't his mother at the door

his eyes widened in surprise as he swallowed the small lump in his throat

"hey." veronica said quietly looking up at him seeing his red puffy eyes which caused her heart to ache

"hi." andrew let out trying not to look at her or he'd be in tears

"did you um- wanna come in?" andrew asked as she nodded letting her walk in and he shut the door behind him

"andrew is it true?" veronica asked

"which part?" he asked

"that you tired to- because of me?" veronica asked

"i'm sorry-"

"no andrew montgomery you don't have anything to apologize for." veronica said putting her hands on his face by habit

"i'm the one who messed up, i'm the one who hurt you just like everyone i've ever dated but i'm not brushing you under the rug like the others. what we had was real, all of it. and i'd do anything in my power to get that back again." veronica said pouring her heart out

"veronica, this is my fault, you warned me before we dated and i ignored it." andrew said

"don't do that. don't put the blame on yourself. put the blame on me." veronica said

"don't you get it ronnie? i can't blame you. no matter what happens i can't put the blame on you because then i start to blame myself for making you feel bad about yourself. i'm madly in love with you veronica lodge and there's nothing anyone or i can do about it!" andrew said throwing his hands in the air

veronica stood there unsure what to say but she knew one thing for sure. she had fallen hard for andrew montgomery and she didn't care anymore

"why did you kiss him?" andrew asked

"i didn't want to. he just kinda forced himself on me and i was so vulnerable and i was a little buzzed in that moment i didn't know what was going on the next thing i knew was i'm breaking the heart of the person who i know would never dream of hurting me. i broke the heart of the boy i've fallen madly in love with." veronica said repeating his words

"veronica can you promise me you'll never do anything like that again." andrew said

"i promise you. i'd die before i hurt you like that again." veronica said

"good." andrew said then grabbed her face and kissed her

they were both putting as much passion as possible that they could into that kiss and they were really happy in that moment

they both felt like they were the only two people in the world
