"veronica there's something we need to talk to you about." betty said
"bring it. after the morning ive had, i'm ready for just about anything." veronica replied
"okay so while archie was the the blossoms, whole the board was in town he um.." madison began
"why don't you tell her? you were there." betty said looking to archie
"why is this suddenly feeling like a friend-tervention." veronica questioned
"i overheard mr. blossom say he's the one responsible for you dad being arrested and put in jail." archie told her
"are you kidding?" veronica asked as archie nodded his head no
"why the hell would clifford blossom have anything to do with why he's in prison?" veronica asked which no one could answer to

"hey, you may or may not know this but it's jugheads birthday." archie told madison as they walked the hall
"what? and he didn't even say anything?" madison questioned
"it's tomorrow. he doesn't like making a big deal out of it. every year, he goes to a double feature at the bijou. it's like this tradition. the last few years, i've been his movie buddy but now that he has a girlfriend-"
"of course ill accompany him archie." madison said with a smile
"but you should still come with us." she added
"no. i don't wanna be a third wheel." archie said
"oh come on. it'll be like old times red, please?" madison's begged
"the three musketeers." archie said
"archie actually they were four musketeers." madison told him
"i'll see you later maddie." archie said with a chuckle
madison pulled out her phone and dialed mr.jones number
"yeah this is jones." fp said picking up the phone
"mr. jones hi, hope i'm not bothering you, this is madison montgomery. jugheads-"
"girlfriend. yeah i remember." fp said as madison smiled
"well i'm calling you to tell you that since it's jugheads birthday tomorrow and we're going to movies, i was wondering if you wouldn't mind tagging along and maybe we can grab some dinner afterwards?" madison said
"does he know you're calling me?" fp asked
"uh no, but i wanted to surprise him." she replied
"man, there's one thing that jughead likes less than surprises and that's his birthday. kids never even had a party. never wanted one." fp explained
