( Mikaru Hyroyuki's P.O.V. )

The purple haired guy stabbed me both in the heart and the side of my head and a sinister smile creeped up on his face one so terrifying, one so demented that I almost believed that he was a demon since even a human couldn't have been so cold and empty inside where his heart was supposed to be.

And he began laughing maniacally just like a demon as I fell to the ground in pain dying yet again.

" Why, why are you doing this ? "

I asked gasping for air trying my hardest to cling to life until I had an answer.

" You asked me why I'm doing this, but even if I told you why, I highly doubt very strongly that the knowledge would change anything at all. What I want is vengeance an to bring about justice. "

I then said in response realizing that he could somewhat now be reasoned with.

" But I'm also after Vengeance against the person who me destroyed my home town an killed my parents, I'm seeking justice against the one who murdered Fumi !! "

Miyabi's eyes then began to glow as she attempted to use some soft of ability on me which seemed to be allowing me to die at a leisurely pace and the purple haired guy said seemingly unworried.

" Oh I see... that is noble of you, that would be justice. However... What about my family? My friends or even me ? We also suffered a cruel fate similarly as you and your people did, how is it fair to let only you preach about vengeance an justice ? Once my friends and family went up against you an your master fighting to protect our interests, as it happened we were attacked by you two and my home town became the battlefield an and entire city laid to waste. After such a battle the two of you left seemingly satisfied, but our home and city suffered an barely recovered. You an I are both seeking the very same thing, we both want to achieve the vengeance we envisioned. "

He said explaining his reasoning to me since I was gonna die anyway, and his speech continued to drone on.

" You and I are the same, we're both motivated by our desire for vengeance. The justice that I have prepared to deliver against you 'my rival an best friend', is no different from what you are trying to do. Everyone feels the same pain in losing something dear, you and I have experienced that pain. You strive for your vengeance... And I strive for mine. We're both just kids who have been driven to seek vengeance in the name of justice and, if one comes to call vengeance justice, such justice will only breed further vengeance... And trigger a vicious cycle of hatred. But if I don't do something about it the pain in me and my people's heart will never subside we are seemingly ruled by hatred towards you and that alone. But you see, that is why I formed an alliance with Miyabi to become an imortal being capable of crushing that vicious cycle, so Mikaru if I didn't kill you how else would I confront this hatred in order to subside my people's suffering ? "

I then laid there in shock finally being able to see things from his perspective an noticing my silence he lowered his head realizing that I had no solution for his issues, it didn't seem to bug him for long though since he sooner asked me.

" Are you afraid ? There's no one here left to protect you, you are alone. It's over you'll die here, so how frightened are you ? "

" I am not at all, you see my friends tried to help me. So right now even during your terrible escapade, my heart is with them. "

I responded trying to honor their deaths for as long as I continued to live thanks to their sacrifices and he replied seemingly irritated.

" 'Your heart' you say, humans always toss around that word, as if your actual heart serves another purpose besides pumping blood around the body ? What is this heart you speak of, if I stabbed another hole in your chest, will I see it, if I split open your skull, would it be there ? "

But even through all his intimidation I stayed set on doing whatever I could as long as I was still alive.

" This is something only I can do, so even if I could escape right now someday I'd be eating, taking a bath or reading manga. He then sighed saying unable to understand my undying tenacity.

" It's easy to do nothing but it's hard to forgive, no it's not just hard it's impossible not attaining vengeance would mean that we're too weak to achieve the envisioned justice. "

" Or that we're stronger than blindly envisioning a justice that would never bring about peace for everyone involved. "

I muttered and Miyabi then struggled to ask me with tears in her eyes as she laid next to me breathing her final breath as the glow in her eyes seemed to have faded.

" Where am I, how did I get here, what's going on ? "

And I was surprised to see her like this after she brutally tried to murder me and that's when it came to me, did she actually try to murder me by her own intentions or was she merely possessed just like I was ? I was sad to see her cry when that possibility came to my mind that she actually probably did care and as far as I could tell there's only one person that could've possessed her.

" I'm sorry I probably should've figured this all out sooner then perhaps I could've kept my promise to Fumi, then perhaps I could've saved you. I'm going to save you, all of you Miyabi, Ahmya, Tapai and Fukushima I swear it on my very last breathe. "
