Nari has to do her own mission with the company of Jongho
"Noona!" Jongho said, shaking Nari relentlessly. She groaned, pulling the covers over her head. "I want to sleep, Jong." She muttered. Jongho huffed, ripping the covers off of her and dropping them on the floor. "Yah! Who do you think you are?!" Nari yelled at him, sitting up and glaring at him. He smiled sweetly, eyes turning into half crescents. "You have to do your mission today. Get ready!" She groaned again, falling back on to her pillows. She most definitely did not want to do her mission. The staff seemed to pick the think that would give her the most anxiety and would definitely not be able to keep her calm. "I don't want too." She pouted.
Jongho chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. "You have to. For ATINY and because you signed the contract." She rolled her half-closed eyes. "It's not even a real contract." Jongho shook his head at her, clicking his tongue. "Nuh-uh, noona. You put your fingerprint and everything. It's legit. You'll go to Australian prison. We won't have the time to visit you." She huffed, right now regretting her life choice of wanting to become an idol. "Fine. I'm getting up." She placed her feet on the cold ground and shivered but she didn't know if it was because it was cold in the house or because of her nerves. She threw on her purple sweater that she hoped would keep her warm and paired it with her puffy black vest. She wore joggers, trying to be as comfortable as possible because in an hour she was definitely not going to be comfortable.
She trudged her way down to the living room where Jongho, Seonghwa and Mingi were patiently waiting. "Ready?" Jongho asked, looking up briefly from his phone. She sighed, trying not to show how nervous she actually was. "Ready as I'll ever be." She muttered. Mingi chuckled, walking up to her and throwing an arm over her shoulders. "You'll be fine, Nar. Besides, you have strongman Jongho with you." She giggled, leaning into his grasp. "I supposed you're right." Seonghwa smiled softly at her, putting his coat on. She smirked a little at how obvious he was about his nerves. His hands were trembling slightly and his smile was tense. "You'll have Mingi, oppa. Though I don't really see how that will help much." Mingi smacked the back of her head and Nari almost punched him.
The four made their way to the bridge that Seonghwa was going to have to climb across and the place where Nari was going have to jump off. She hated bungee jumping, she hated heights. But this was her life now; all for the entertainment and ratings. As she was fitted into a harness, she heard Mingi offering Seonghwa words of encouragement. "Hyung, you'll be fine. I'm not going to let you fall. I'll do it with you. You can hold my hand." She looked over at Jongho who was patiently waiting for her to finish and frowned. "You're not jumping with me?" Jongho shook his head. "I'm not crazy." She scoffed at him, crossing her arms and pouting.
They said their goodbyes to Mingi and Seonghwa as they started their trek across the bridge and Nari wanted nothing more than to be there with them. She'd much rather walk across the bridge than jump off of it. Her legs were shaking by the time she mustered up the courage to even walk to the railing. She could tell the staff member was doing her best not to laugh at her but failing miserably as she kept stumbling over her words. Jongho was downright laughing at her. She glared at him and he continued laughing. "You can't even look mad right now with how much you're shaking." She scoffed, turning her gaze to the water below her and she thought she would pass out right then and there.
She felt her throat close and her heart start beating faster against her rib cage. Taking a breath in was hard, no matter how hard she tried to remain calm about it. Tears started welling up in her eyes and she knew she was going to panic any second. Jongho noticed too, his laughing immediately ceasing. He came up and grabbed her hand, giving it a gently squeeze. "You'll be fine, noona. I'm right here and I'll stay right here until you come back up." She took a deep breath, feeling a little more comforted and nodded towards the staff members. She climbed over the railing, her arms and legs feeling like jello and shaking like an earthquake. She was honestly surprised that she was able to hold herself up.
"I can't do this. Nonono. I can't do this Jongho." He smiled slightly, stepping up and wrapping his arms around her torso. "You can and you will. I know you can." She took another deep breath. "Just jump!" Jongho yelled and then pushed her before she even knew what was happening. She screamed the whole way down, only stopping briefly when she was jerked back up by the bungee. When she made it back on to the ground, her knees were still trembling but she was royally pissed. Her eyes snapped up to meet Jongho's who was currently laughing despite her shaken state. She marched up to him but he ran and hid behind Seonghwa. "Choi Jongho! I'm going to throw you over this bridge myself! Get over here!" She lunged as Seonghwa calmly stepped away and Mingi wrapped his arms around her right before she could reach him.
"I told you that you could do it, noona!" Jongho said, smiling brightly. Nari was ready to kill and if Mingi would have let her go, ATEEZ would be an 8 member group instead of 9. "Nari! You did it, right? It's over, you're not hurt and you're not dead." Mingi said and she stopped, eyebrows furrowing and tearing herself away from Mingi's grip. "Whatever." They walked back to their temporary home, Jongho keeping a safe distance. When they walked in, Nari ran straight to Yunho, telling him about what Jongho did. When Jongho entered the front door, a very tall, angry Yunho was looking at him with a frown on his face. "Uh-oh." He gulped. "Five seconds." Was all Yunho said.
Jongho had never ran so fast in his life.
