Chapter 16~ Cigarette Burns

Yesterday i awoke gasping for air, for the past few days I've been having continuous nightmares of the death of my mother. It seems extremely real. I lose my breath when I wake up. I guess Boris noticed, I looked at him. his back was faced towards me. I could see one of his loose hands slowly raise up and sign something. I squinted to try and make out what he was signing. I couldn't, I didn't have my glasses on first of all. and it was really dark. I was still super tired so I moved closer towards Boris. I wrapped my body around his. I felt him turn around, i looked at him. His eyes were closed though it was obvious he was awake. Boris put my head against his chest.
I could feel Boris tighten his grip on my body.
I felt safe in his tight grip. So I was easily lulled to sleep.
I awoke once again that morning. the sun was shining on my face. I sit up to see Boris on his phone next to me. I saw him slowly set his phone beside him. He smiled. He raised his hand of his lap. "Were you Okay last night?" He signed with a curious look on his face. I paused "nightmare." I signed quickly. "Again? He signed, I saw him release a heavy sigh. I nodded and looked down. Avoiding eye contact with Boris. He patted the spot on his bed right next to him. I scooted over. "Go ahead. Tell me." He signed. I hesitated for a second before explaining.I can't remember the dream right now. But I remember water. Not being able to breathe.
I'm so glad Boris was with me. Otherwise I probably would've had a panic attack.
Anyways. Imma stop here.
