Only two days in and we're already used to the hotel and know almost every room. The good part is that I got used to operating the shower.
Both Boris and I are very organized when it comes to trips. We already know what we're going to do and what our plans are, Unless it's a last minute thought.
In this hotel, there is a arcade thingy, Boris and I spent hours down there. It's one of those arcades for parents, the ones you can win actual cold hard cash from.
Boris and I we're literal five year olds down there, until Boris became concentrated and I had to shut up.
I think most people there thought we were high, but we've both never grown out of our young selves.
Ever since we met we chased each other around the house and tackle one another. I've only been able to pin down Boris once. I still take that as a accomplishment, although the night before Boris had gotten a hard beating from his father. Boris would be strutting around the house shirtless like he owned the place and you could see the bruises even though you were standing a good distance away,
Anyhow.
We drove through the city, Boris blasting his music like normal. Signing some random poetic gibberish before complimenting me in some way and making me go a deep red.
Boris wore camouflage pants and I couldn't get the "Where are your legs?" Joke out of my head. He didn't get the joke.
We drove far out, to the side of town with many churches and farm land. We got bored and turned around. Traffic was heavy which took us an extra thirty minutes to get back to the hotel.
We got a bit tired and hungry so I sent Boris on a mission to get us some food in the hotel food court area.
He stole the plates but that doesn't matter.
We ate and decided to relax the rest of the day due to us still being frustrated and angry from all the traffic we had to deal with. We sat on the bed that had the tv in front of it and just binge watched all the interesting documentary's we could find, cuddling and depending on each other for warmth and love.
Boris drifted off slowly on me. I muted the Tv for him and just left the captions on for myself.
I watched for another 30 minutes before turning out the nightstand lamp and pulling up the covers to my shoulders and drifting off in Boris's arms. I had one of my hands on his chest. He had a thin T-shirt on, which surprised me because he never wears clothes like that because he still is insecure about his body.
I could feel his ribs through the paper thin fabric of his T-shirt. He used to tell me how he didn't like going to the doctors because all they talked about was how he was underweight The whole time.
I have had some minor symptoms of a cold for the last few days, honestly I just thought it was allergy's getting to me.
I figured out that it was just a bad cold that morning. I guess Boris noticed my wheezy like breathing and woke me up out of fear. "Are you ok?" He signed tiredly. I felt more tired than usual and I put my face in my hands. When I pulled my hands away, I put a hand on his shoulder as a "wait here" symbol. He nodded and I got up out of the bed shivering at the cold air, I made my way to the bathroom. I flipped on the light and looked in the mirror, I looked absolutely terrible. My eyes were puffy and red. My cheeks were a dark shade of a crimson like color.
I felt like absolute crap too.
My throat with scratchy and annoying. I had to breath out of my mouth because my nose became too stuffy. I felt the presence of Boris walk in from behind me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and brought my body into a hug. "It's just a cold Boris, nothing serious.
"It looks like it. You should get back to sleep. It's probably not good to stay up with these symptoms... do you need something to help you sleep?" He signed before cocking his head in a curious motion.
I nodded, knowing that there was no way I would be able to sleep feeling like the broken ice cream machine from the McDonalds downtown.
I watched as he searched through the pills he had brought along.
He finally picked one up, looking at the paper on the side to make sure it was the right one. He walked over to me and moved the stands of hair that had fallen on my face. "It'll help you. It won't get you high so take as many that you think can help you."
He signed handing me a clear bottle.
It wasn't orange-Tinted, and it had the 'For Adults/Young adults"
So I assumed that what he said was true. I didn't look at the labels I just swallowed like 3.
I honestly just wanted to sleep and I didn't want to get Boris sick so I climbed into the other bed. Boris was already fast asleep so he didn't quite notice.
I laid there. My body and mind confused why I wasn't with my lover. I just lay there. Waiting for the pills to take over my body. It worked. I was out fast.
This is Theo Decker, Signing off.
