Chapter 9

Another new part for this story, yay! It's Mother's Day, so I figured I could make this one based on today's holiday. Anyways, please leave any suggestions below if you guys have any ideas, and let's continue this storybook!

Happy Mother's Day!

There it was again. That holiday where we celebrate our mothers. Our caretakers, the ones who's loved us since we were born. I wasn't too fond of the holiday now that Mom wasn't around. It was around a few years ago when we last saw her, and I miss her so much. "Going to leave another bouquet of flowers, Yuma?"Astral asked me, and I nodded.

I took off running out the door, and I headed to the flower shop that was near school. I grabbed a rose bouquet that I'm sure Mom would love. I paid for them, and I thanked the worker as I ran out the door again. I ran home, and I knew I was going to get scolded later. "You're going to be late for school, Yuma."I had gotten a phone call from Kari, but I didn't really pay too much attention to it.

"Hey, Mom. I wish I could see you again, but I know you're somewhere safe with Dad. Love you..."I said to myself, and I placed the bouquet of roses in a vase. I left it in front of the picture frame I had in my room, and I quickly ran out the door again since I didn't want to be late for school.

"Yuma must miss his mother, but where could she possibly be?"I thought as I went back inside the key, and Yuma looked pretty upset since they were having special events at school for Mother's day. "Hey, Yuma! Doing anything special today for your mother?" Tori said as she went over to him, and Yuma nodded.

Several hours passed, and everyone was in the gymnasium with their mothers having fun with the special events they had planned that evening. Yuma sighed, and I got out of the key.

"Yuma, are you going to be alright?"I asked him, and he nodded. "Yeah, I'll be alright, Astral. I'm sure wherever Mom is, she's alright. Happy Mother's Day, Mom..."I said as the sun was setting, and tears ran down my face as I smiled.
