After the disappointment set in, Optimus would not stop crying. Not that I minded, the cuddles were worth it. But Laserbeak was glaring at me as if this was my fault! I mean, it was, but he was recording the damn thing.

I really hope Optimus doesn't remember this. It would be for the better.

"I just-sniff-wanted to fly." Optimus sobbed into my shoulder. Again forgetting the jetpack.

I hugged him, "I have a jet form, maybe you could ride on me." I suggested keeping the jetpack a secret. He nodded, still, his faceplate on my shoulder. Still sobbing.

"You got a pretty cool upgrade." I said as a attempt to distract him.

He nodded, "yea, everything is bigger." He said and fiddled with his plating before muttering something else.

"What was that?" I asked.

"I wonder if my spike is bigger." He said and looked down. It took alot of self control not to edge him on. Besides, Laserbeak started recording again. Did Soundwave request this?

"Oh definitely." I nodded, stopping him from doing things. As curious as a sparkling he is.

We stayed still for awhile, Optimus cuddled into my chassis. "You sure?"

"Yup."

"Bigger than Megatron's?"

I didn't know what to say, but Laserbeak nodded his helm.

Wait, how would he know?

The room began to grow dimmer so I got out some energon, of which I still had alot, and added it to the flame. I felt a poking in my side and looked down to see Optimus trying to get my attention. Since when was this?

"I want to cuddle Laserbeak too." He said in a quiet whisper. I glanced over at Laserbeak, he seemed not to have heard, no way he would allow it.

"Hey Laserbeak, come over here." I called for him. He cast me a glare as if the say: what the frag do you want?

"You've got something on your wing." I lied.

"Chirp-"

"No not the stickers, looks like a bunch of dirt. I can get it off." I proposed.

He glided over to where we sat, as soon as he landed I snatched him up and shoved him to Optimus, who instantly began to cuddle him.

Laserbeak let out a series of angry squawks and flapped his wings in protest. But in the end he settled with showing his aggression and anger in a silent glare of death.

Disregarding his glare, Optimus quickly fell into a soundless recharge, myself following not soon after.

When I woke, Laserbeak was nowhere to be seen, and a very flustered prime sat in the corner staring at me. Man, he could stare.

Ah, oh no.

The fun seemed to have expired, and he remembered all of it, if not some.

"So-" I attempted.

"I debated putting out the fire for that." He grumbled, clearly he was feeling the after effects.

"How was I to know that after two cubes-"

"Three."

"-after three cubes you'd be like that?" I defended myself.

He glared at me, "my arms are sore." He hissed, oh help me Primus.

"Why?" I asked honestly.

"Because for two hours-" he flapped his arms aggressively to make a point. "I did this."

"Sorry." I said, a very rare word coming from me.

"Sorry?" He asked, I nodded. "Is that supposed to make me feel better?"

"Yes?" I said as a suggestion, slightly scared.

"Huh." He paused and shifted his arms. "Well, my arms are still sore."

"That's not what the word is for." I pointed out.

"No." Damn, he was getting sarcastic now. "I mean, if you stab someone and say 'sorry' afterward, everything will be fine." That's the most sarcastic tone I ever heard.

"Ok, I get your point."

"Finally!" He said and crossed his arms.

I debated whether to argue back at him, complaining about having to watch him, but decided against it.

I shuffled over to him and gave him a big bear hug. He stiffened in surprise, before letting out a sigh. "Not to tight, or I might purge." He warned and I loosened my hug.

"Where did Laserbeak go?" I asked as I snuggled in more.

"He left when he saw I was in a bad mood." He said and leaned his helm against the wall he was leaning against.

"Is this the first time you had high grade?" i asked.

"Second." He answered.

"Ah, I got drunk with a complete stranger, the first time. What about you?" I said.

"I was still a Mechling and in Alpha Trion's care." He paused, "I mistook it for normal energon."

"Lie." I smirked.

He looked down at me. "I borrowed it from my mentors stores."

"Borrowed?"

"Stole." He admitted. "I made a pyramid of datapads." He said, a tint of pride lacing his tone.

"Nice."

"Alpha Trion was not happy." He said.

Suddenly scrap fell from the wall across us, I sat up as did Optimus. we then heard muffled voices.

"If we find another corpse, I swear, I'll throw myself into the remains of the smelting pit."

"If you don't stop complaining, I'll do it for you."

Optimus leaned toward me, "we keep these events to ourselves." I nodded.

Soon, a thin ray of light filtered into the room.

"Freedom!" I yelped and stood up, hitting my helm against the ceiling. Optimus slowly following, having trouble keeping his balance.

"Oh Primus." Smokescreen cursed and pushed more rubble aside. Soon the hole was big enough to fit through and I scrambled to it, making a effort to get through.

I looked up to see a frowning Smokescreen. "We weren't looking for you." He grumbled.

"Surprise, surprise." I retorted sarcastically before turning back to the hole and heaving Optimus out, who was having trouble with his balance.

"Guys, we found him!" Bumblebee shouted to the others and soon they filled in. All with grins on their faceplate, except Ultra Magnus, who noticed Optimus struggling to stay upright.

"Sir, are you alright?" He questioned.

"Fine, thank you." He lied and swayed.

It took alot of self control not to laugh.
