48:Training

"Alright." I said as I set Egg down on my berth. We gotta get some things sorted.

She'll drink regular energon, High grade as a treat.

"We have to set some ground rules." I said as I got down to her optic level. Which optic do I look at?

"First of all: Where you do your business." I clarified as I made a small staircase up to the bin with regular energon cubes which I had just stashed in my berthroom.

"This is your toilet." I grinned and gestured to the bin.

Egg hopped down from the berth and went up the staircase to look down the bin.

"I'll feed you, I won't forget!" I added. Egg looked back up at me.

"As to where you lay eggs..." I looked around. "You get the whole room for that but not the bin. My berth is preferred but if I'm on it, you can lay your egg on me." I said and she sorta nodded.

Smart Chicken.

She semi flew over to my berth and landed smoothly.

"Oh and don't go out of my berthroom unless I'm with you. You wouldn't want to end up back in Shockers lab now, would you?"

Egg's optics widened a bit as she gave a cluck of comfirmation.

"We'll go on lots of walks though." I said. "Now lets practice what I taught you. Where do you do your business?"

She dropped a bomb on my berth. She looked up at me smugly.

"In the bin!" I exclaimed as I put her down on the ground. She hopped around and got behind the bin.

"That's where you hide if someone else snoops in here." I added as I started cleaning her mess.

Then I opened a cube for her and let her refuel from that. She didn't take to much, saving more for later.

Smart Chicken.

"Alright, where do you do your business?" I asked her again and she jumped up on my berth then proceeded to look at me challengingly.

This repeated itself over and over again.

"You are insane."

She made a deep squawk of warning.

"You are!" I countered. "You do the same thing over and over again and expect the same results!" I complained as I sat down on my berth, next to Egg.

She kinda snorted in disbelief.

"Wait..." I paused. "No that's what I'm doing."

I buried my helm in my servos.

"Alright." I held her up at my optic level. "If you don't go in the bin, you go back to Shockwave." I threatened and put her down.

She debated it, I know she did.

She waddled up to the bin a dropped her stuff.

"Well done!" I said and jumped up. "Good Egg!" I said and petted her.

She closed her optics and enjoyed it.

Suddenly the door opened and I shoved her behind the bin.

It was Megatron.

"Oh, it's you." I huffed, "and here I thought it was someone of value." I crossed my arms.

He raised his optic ridges, "I'm here about last night."

"What part?"

"First bit."

"Alright lets hear it." I demanded as I sat down on my berth.

"Hear what?" He asked.

"Your excuses."

"You're sounding a lot like a sparkling now." He said but before I could complain, "I'm looking out for you, and you're not happy with the restrictions." He said.

"Alright maybe there is a similarity." I said and spotted Egg poking out her helm, she looked like she was grinning. I didn't know she could do that.

"Mother knows best- or whatever." He said and leaned against the wall tiredly. It was only morning!

"Mother knows best? Have you watched Tangled?"

"Tangled?"

"A human movie."

"Soundwave makes a lot of references." He grumbled. "Curse Hamilton."

I snorted.

"Just know, I do not dislike you in any way and sometimes I'm just at edge." He sorta apologised.

"Aha."

"Just 'Aha'?"

"Aha." I nodded.

He left displeased, yet pleased with himself.

Egg came out and nuzzled my ped. "It's nice when he's kissing your peds." I told her as I plucked her up and placed he on my shoulder.

"You think you can fit in my subspace?" I asked and opened my chassis. She hopped in and I closed it. She fits.

"We're gonna go for a walk." I told her and a muffled cluck answered me.

I walked out, taking the egg with me. I was gonna leave it where Predaking recharged.

I Got to the landing bay and left the egg before transforming and flying down to Earth.

Egg only just fit. I reached the ground and transformed. I took Egg out and put her on the ground.

She looked around excitedly.

Then she ran circles in excitement before taking off, leaving me to follow.

As I followed her through the small forest I saw a drop.

A drop into a bunch of water next to a waterfall.

Egg went right over it.

"Shit." I cursed as I jumped after her.

CyberChickens can't swim.

I can't either but I don't care. I hit the water and sunk. I'm not that heavy! I saw Egg and grabbed her before transforming around her and flying out. I landed on the side of the pool.

She stood shock still.

I tapped her on the helm and she snapped out of it. She looked up at me, downright pissed.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I got down to her level.

Did she want to drown? Or was she mad I didn't save her faster?

"You still wanna go for a walk?" I asked and picked her up.

She made a growling/squawk/cluck.

"Nod or shake your helm."

She shook her helm.

"Alright, I plopped her in my chassis and took of.
