Momo had more time to observe the newcomers, even later that day, while she was doing homework on her balcony, she saw Shine training outside, making portals, testing her limit...unfortunately, Shine ended up throwing up in the shrubbery after the 7th time.

Momo winced and ran down to the ground level to see if she was okay. When she came out, Shine was holding her stomach.

"That wasn't fun, at least I didn't faint though." She muttered, but she spoke too soon, and the next moment she collapsed.

Momo was far more startled by this than she really had any reason to be after training, but she wasn't used to adults doing this.

"What happened?" Todoroki's voice came from behind her, he'd seen her dash outside and thought something must be going on.

"She just fainted" Momo took Shine's arm.

Shine blinked. "I'm dizzy," she murmured.

"I think she's pushed herself too much," Momo tried to stand her up... Shine was at least 4 cm taller than her though, it wasn't easy to prop her up.

Shoto came and took her other arm. "She should have taken it easier after training earlier."

They took her inside and put her on one of the sofas, and got her some water.

Shine seemed better after a few minutes, and apologized for the trouble. "Thank you, though."

"Why did you strain yourself so much?" Momo asked.

"It wasn't on purpose, sometimes it hits late. But hey, I just did one more time than my usual limit, and that was after training earlier," Shine smiled. "So it wasn't a total failure. I used to end up out cold for hours after pushing myself."

How terrifying!

"That's dangerous!" Todoroki said severely. "If you become useless after the last time, you'd better be out of the path of a villain."

"Thanks, Captain Obvious," Shine said, a little salty. "But if I succeed at increasing how many times I can do this, that will be helpful. And this is an improvement after just a week. Maybe the environment here is helping."

What did that mean?

"If you train like that, at least have someone else to help you," Momo cautioned, trying to be polite.

"Duly noted, that was kind of stupid of me," Shine admitted, to their surprise.

"I wasn't saying you were stupid," Momo said quickly.

"I know, but it was," Shine seemed unoffended. "I don't normally do things like that, I will refrain in the future."

She looked up at Todoroki. "I'm sorry for snapping, that wasn't fair."

Todoroki wasn't expecting that.

"Uh.. you're fine," he said flatly, with a shrug.

"I really am starting to like that kid" Shine said, as if to herself. "But, I like most people."

"Should you eat something?" Momo asked her.

"You're such a mom," Shine said. But she was smiling so Momo supposed that wasn't a criticism.

"I'm okay, in a bit I will probably eat. I still feel sick right now, you can go back to your studying. I'll be fine now that I'm resting, it passes."

Momo nodded and went back to her room. She later regretted doing so, though because another incident occurred not long after that.
