once y/n grabbed isa she started hitting her again while she hit back until y/n kicked her leg making her fall to the ground and she got on her grabbing a fist full of her hair with one hand and started punching her directly in the face with the other one when the others would try to pull her off she would move out of their grip and keep punching she didn't stop until she heard valentina crying from downstairs and the door opening so derek ran out then she got up running downstairs also and when she saw her parents running out the door with her and her dad had a knife to dereks neck she went into the kitchen grabbing one of her guns and she ran outside aiming it directly at her mom who had valentina then everyone else came out
Y: put her down
Y/m: shoot and i'll kill her
Y: i'm not joking put her down or i'll blow your fucking brains on this pavements
y/ns mom pulled out a knife and held it to valentina and y/ns heart dropped to her stomach and her grip tightened on the trigger
Y: leave her out of this it has nothing to do with her so let her go
Y/m: it has everything to do with her you took aya from me so i'm taking valentina and if you don't let me then i'll kill her and you
Y: i won't say it again
y/ns dad started running to y/n with a knife so she tightened her grip shooting him in the arm but he kept coming and she couldn't do it but next thing she knew there was a loud bang and he dropped down in front of her then she she looked up from him and saw derek standing behind him slowly lowering his gun once y/ns mom snapped out of her shock she put valentina down and started running to derek while he was in shock
Y: derek
after y/n yelled his name she ran in front of him causing her mom to stab her instead and she just looked at her in shock with tears falling down her face and holding the middle of her chest where she was stabbed at gasping for air then she fell to the ground passing out and derek looked at her then back at her mom now fully crying raising the gun directly to her head
Y/m: i'm so so-
before she could finish he pulled the trigger and watched her head rapidly go back then she fell down and he sat on the ground picking y/n up and yelling at the others to call an ambulance and putting pressure on her wound watching his hands slowly turn completely red but he felt a heartbeat making him smile through his tears
Derek: just like that come on stay with me baby
derek went back to yelling at the other to hurry up then once he heard the ambulance he picked y/n up and when they made it they got out with the stretcher and he put her on it but he had to stay back until the cops came for questioning so once they drove off he stayed in the driveway biting his nails and pacing back and forth and wiping his tears with his hand getting blood on his face
Isa: she'll be ok
derek just looked at isa with a blank expression as if she was to keep talking he was gonna shoot her next so she stopped talking then he looked at ashley who was holding valentina and he turned back to the street just staring at his hands then once he heard sirens the cops walked up to them and he put his hands up and they looked at the scene
Cop: what the hell happened here
Ashley: um this girl she's my best friend her parents tried to kidnap her baby so her fiancé the man in front of you and her came out here and her parents tried to kill their daughter and them so they acted in self defense and shot them but y/n the mother got stabbed in the middle of it so she's being transported to the hospital
Cop: and all of y'all saw the same thing
everyone shook their heads yes then the cops called for another ambulance to get the bodies then he looked at derek
Cop: you're not in trouble but i am going to have to bring you in for questioning
Derek: how long will i have to be there i need to be at the hospital with my fiancé
Cop: not long just for a little so i can get your statement and sign some things it's only for legal reasons
Derek: fine
Cop: although you're not under arrest i'm gonna have to put you in restraints
Derek: ok
derek put his hands behind his back and the cop put him in handcuffs then opened the back of the cop car for him and he got in sitting there completely zoning out as the minutes past he was soon at the station giving his statement for hours until they finally let him leave and took the handcuffs off of him so he rubbed his wrists then once he walked out the others were there so he got in the car and they drove to the hospital once they made it people were looking at derek like he was insane but he ignored it and walked to the front desk asking for y/ns room and the lady looked terrified but she gave him the room number anyways and when he walked in he saw y/n laying there with stitches on the middle section of her chest and an IV in her arm and to his surprise she wasn't on life support so he held her hand and kissed her head
Derek: see baby you're stronger than you think
