after they woke back up y/n put on some nike pro shorts and a loose fitted crop top and her slides then put her hair in a messy bun then she got valentina dressed while carmen got kehlani dressed then they walked downstairs and out the door and once y/n got valentina in the car since they had it brought to them over night she started going to the drivers seat and once she stepped one foot on the step quincy called her name and she turned around
Quincy: where are you going so early
Y: to get furniture for my very empty house
Quincy: oh alright
Y: real question are why are you up so early
Quincy: no one wins in this world sleeping all day
Y: so what are you about to do
Quincy: now that's something you'll have to figure out
Y: and the mysterious personality just keeps coming
Quincy: it's great i know anyways stay safe y/n
Y: you too quincy
quincy smiled then got in his car and y/n got in hers and they drove off in seperate directions
Carmen: so what's up with y'all two
Y: nothing actually i just met him
Carmen: he's definitely hotter than derek
Y: sad to admit it but yea he is
Carmen: maybe you should date him
Y: i just met him carmen
Carmen: but you'll see him everyday
Y: yea this conversation dies here
carmen laughed while y/n playfully rolled her eyes and she continued driving once she made it to the store they all got out walking inside and buying things for all of their rooms such as decorations and bed set covers once they finished they paid then they went to a grocery store buying obviously groceries enough that'll last them a while after that they left and went back to the house while the girls ran inside carmen and y/n tried to carry as much bags as they could until quincy and one of his friends walked over
Quincy: need some help
Y: yes help would definitely be nice right now
quincy and the other guy got the boxes from the car while carmen and y/n got the food then once everything was inside quincy offered to help y/n while the other guy offered to help carmen so while they put on a movie for the girls with snacks they walked upstairs going into separate rooms and y/n was in hers with quincy trying to set up a bed frame and laughing when they messed up
Y: no i think that piece goes right there
Quincy: y/n i promise it goes here
Y: show me some proof
Quincy: it's in the blueprint
Y: blueprints can be wrong
Quincy: if we set it up your way the second you sit on the bed your ass is gonna fall
Y: fine we'll do it your way
Quincy: yea i think that's the smart choice
y/n laughed playfully nudging quincy making him laugh as well then once they finished the bed frame they laid down wrap on the floor then started painting the walls laughing and splashing each other then once she splashed paint on his face he picked her up while she had the paintbrush in her hand spinning her around so she started laughing throwing her head back painting his arm and once he put her down he sat her in a pile of paint so she looked at him with her mouth open and started chasing him around with her paintbrush while he laughed constantly dipping his hand in the paint and splashing it on y/n making her turn her head then she started doing the same as him until they both put them down laughing and he walked to y/n hugging her so she hugged him back still laughing but also closing her eyes feeling safe then once they moved apart she playfully nudged his shoulder
Y: ok now can we get back to painting my half finished wall
Quincy: if you can agree to keep your paint in the bucket and off of me
Y: in my defense you splashed me first
Quincy: but you splashed me in the face first
Y: i was adding some brightness to that mysterious personality
Quincy: were you now
Y: yea i was you're welcome
quincy laughed while y/n looked at him smiling then they went back to painting and talking until they finished and sat down on the wrap waiting for it to dry
Quincy: so honestly if you're so used to being played why do you keep allowing it to happen
Y: i'm honestly scared of being alone to be honest it's always been one of my biggest fears and since both of my parents are gone then all i have is my sister and she's been getting really close with my ex so i feel like if she had to choose then that's who she'll pick
Quincy: sometimes you need to be alone to truly get to know yourself maybe you keep getting messed over because you don't truly know yourself and you don't really know what's your drawing point
Y: i mean i know when enough is enough
Quincy: but you see it too late
Y: i guess i just always looked at my friends for male figures but i didn't even get guy friends until senior year
Quincy: make your own representation of how a guy should treat you then go by those standards even if you feel like they're too high keep them because that means you're doing something right and you're not settling for anything less than you believe and know you deserve
Y: obviously i don't deserve anything
Quincy: that's not obvious to me
y/n turned her head looking at quincy and he looked at her back then once they started leaning in they heard carmen yell from the other room and they got up
Y: um thanks for helping me
Quincy: yea of course i'll see you tomorrow
Y: yea see you tomorrow
after that quincy went across the hall telling his friend to come on then once they left out carmen and y/n went downstairs with the kids sitting down
