Holy shit my arm hurt so fucking much last night. Like, it hurt to write, which is why this chapter didn't come out yesterday :(

(Not really yandere, just wanted to write something  I thought was sad)

----------- ☆~°¤ | Doctor...? | ¤°~☆ ------------

There's a teenage boy at the hospital you work at. He has a very strange disease, and... no one knows what it is.

He'll be dead in six months...

People are trying to figure out what's wrong with him before he dies, which is normal, but... they're doing it with little-to-no care for the boy who, despite being in so much pain, was still alive.

You knocked on the door, before slowly opening it.

Sitting in his bed, looking out the window and watching the world pass him by, was that red-haired boy with the mysterious disease.

He looked more sickly every day, it made you sad to look at him like that...

"Good morning, Eijiro!" You said to him, walking in the room. "Did you have a good sleep...?"

"... It was... fine." He responded.

"That's good." You walked into the room, stepping over all the wires, trying not to unplug anything. He was hooked up to more machines than necessary, all in the name of finding out what this disease is.

"Doctor, can I go outside...?" Eijiro asked you. "I want to go outside, but the other Doctors won't let me..."

"Oh... well, I'm sure they have... a reason... for not letting you outside..."  you said, not wanting to disobey the others. "But, hey, tell you what! They told me you have another examination today, so why don't I ask if it's ok for me to take you outside for a bit after you're done, alright?"

When you proposed that idea, his face lit up in excitement. This was... one of the first times you'd seen him happy!

"Y-yes! That'd be amazing! Thank you, Doctor!"

"Um, Dr. Toriumi...." you began. "I was wondering if, after Eijiro's done his examination today, if I could take him outside, since he was talking about how-"

"No."

"What? Why not?" You  asked.

"Because he just can't." Toriumi sighed.

"But why?" You continued asking.

"Why are you asking so many questions, (L/N)? You're just an intern."

"I-I know, but-"

"Then stop asking questions. You're not letting Eijiro outside."

"... ok, Toriumi..."

You'll have to disappoint him...

After everything was finished, you made your way to Eijiro's room to break the bad news... but something was wrong when you opened the door.

He was crying.

"... Eijiro...?" You asked for him. Once he noticed you were there, his tear stained face lit up in excitement once again, and he smiled happily.

"Doctor!" He yelled, jumping out of his bed. He ran to you, being careful not to step on any of the wires, and hugged you tightly. "Are we going outside now?" He sweetly asked you.

...

"Yeah, we are!"

YOU DON'T GIVE A FUCK IF DUMBASS TORIUMI SAYS EIJIRO CAN'T GO OUTSIDE! IF THIS DYING BOY WANTS TO GO OUTSIDE AND FEEL THE FRESH AIR, HE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO!

And plus... if he'll be dead in six months, shouldn't he be making the most of it...?

You ended up getting in a lot of trouble, unfortunately...

But it's ok.

All for the sake of making a dying boy's short life a little bit better...

Whenever you visited Eijiro's room, he was always in tears...

He'd tell you everything, how horribly he was treated, how the other Doctors seemed to not care that he was still alive...

He told you that you were the only good thing in his life anymore.

Then, for unknown reasons, you were fired.

You made sure to visit him every now and again, and then once the sixth month came... you made sure to visit him every day.

And one day...

Well...

I think you know what happened that day.

"Doctor....?" Eijiro began, looking up at you, and grabbing your hand. "Thanks for being so nice to me... I'm... sorry about getting you fired..." he sadly smiled.

"It wasn't your fault." You told him. "You don't have to blame yourself...!"

"... right." He paused. "I'm sorry. Did they... find out what was wrong with me...?" He asked you.

"No..."

"Oh... sorry for being a burden...."

"You don't have to be sorry!" You yelled. "I mean, it's not like you chose to have a weird disease that nobody could identify!"

"Thanks... that... t-that makes me feel a bit better..." his smile weakened.

You watched the life slowly leave his eyes.
