One day, a pregnant woman named Kazan (L/N) arrived in the hospital.

Apparently, her husband, Nijikaya (L/N), was murdered in front of her, and well... she wasn't really in the best mental state after that.

She and Rei ended up becoming friends.

Eventually, Kazan gave birth to a small girl, who she named (Y/N).
She absolutely insisted (Y/N) stay in the hospital with her.

So, little (Y/N) was raised in the hospital.

(Y/N) was raised close to Rei, who eventually began to think of (Y/N) as her own daughter.

Kazan had even said that "if anything ever happens to me, give (Y/N) to Rei."

...

And one day, Kazan (L/N) died of a sudden heart attack.

So, you were left in Rei's care.

"Kazan's Quirk was called 'blaze', it allowed her to set parts of her body on fire." One of the doctors explained. "(Y/N)'s Quirk will most likely have something to do with fire. Even if she inherits her father's Quirk, the ability to create colourful fireworks from his hands, she will still most likely be able to set fire to things." The doctor took a deep breath. "Mrs. Todoroki, are you sure you want to take care of (Y/N)? We could always place the child in foster ca-"

"No." Rei said, firmly. "I want to take care of (Y/N). I... I feel like I'm ready."

"...you're absolutely sure of this, Mrs. Todoroki?"

"Yes. Whatever power she develops, I'm sure... I'll be able to take care of her."

"Well, you have been getting better recently." The doctor said. "If you feel like you can't take care of her, tell us."

"Right."

A year later, a few days after your fourth birthday, it happened.

"Miss Rei, Miss Rei!" You excitedly yelled, running up to her.

"Hm? What is it, (Y/N)?"

"Look!" You happily said, raising your hand in the air. Your tiny hand was then engulfed by a colourful flame. "Super cool, right?"

Rei looked at your hand.

She softly smiled, and placed her cold hand on top of your head.

"It's a lovely power, (Y/N)." She told you. "I'm sure you'll make good use of it some day..."

"I need to go show everyone else!" You happily said, running out of the room to show people your cool power.

As you left, Rei looked at the table, and blue flowers she had received.

"Both Fuyumi and Shouto have been saying he's at least trying to be a better father..." Rei said to herself. "Maybe, someday, we can be..."

A year later, you and Rei left the hospital, and got to ride in a fancy car.

"Where are we going, Miss Rei?" You asked.

"Home." She told you.

You were nervous about meeting her family...

But, when you met the sweet teacher lady... the doctor who could make snow... the boy with that weird scar... you realized you really had nothing to worry about.

Her husband, Enji, scared you sometimes... but that was mostly because of how intimidating he was. He actually treated you like you were his daughter... he even told you that your fire was cool!

When you found out he was a Hero, you asked hi to help you get stronger. Shouto, Natsuo, and Fuyumi all seemed relieved when you pouted to them that their father wouldn't let your train with him.

With the new addition to their family, they were finally just that.
A family.
