Many years ago, little Shouto Todoroki met someone.

And just today, he met that person again.

At first, he didn't think anything of it.

In his eyes, this was just another annoying person in his class. Just another distraction.

But soon, something about that person began to seem... familiar.

And then, he realized.

Kaminari, however, did not realize.

So, he was pretty confused when Todoroki asked him to meet behind the school after classes.

"Um, Todoroki...? You here?" He asked, peeking out from a corner. "You... you asked me to meet, so... here I am...!"

Then, Todoroki revealed himself, walking out from the shadows as if he were a children's movie bad guy.

"Hi there, Denki." Todoroki said. "Thank you for meeting me."

"Yeah, no problem, Shoutoroki." Kaminari said.
He was about to say 'Shouto', then realized wait no we just met today we aren't even friends we aren't on a first-name basis yet, then tried to say 'Todoroki', but by that point he was too far, and in the end... he mixed his first and last name together.

He just embarrassed himself in front of the son of the #2 Hero.

There was a long, awkward silence between them, before Kaminari said
"Welp. Time to go die in a hole."

To his surprise, Todoroki smiled.

"I see that you haven't changed at all, Denki."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Yep. You haven't changed a single bit." Todoroki said, laughing very slightly. "Still just as dense as ever."

"Can you please just explain what's going on here...." Kaminari asked, defeated.

"Do you remember a woman named Rei Todoroki?" He asked.

"I think so..." Kaminari said. "I'm pretty sure she was an old friend of auntie Haneru." He continued saying, mostly to himself. "I think she came to  auntie's wedding? And she came over a few times, sometimes with her kids..."

That was when Kaminari realized.

"Oh!!!! Wait, you're Rei's son, aren't you?!" Kaminari asked in surprise.

"Yep."

"Well it's cool that we know each other!" Kaminari said. "Would you like to catch up sometime?"

"Sometime? Why not now?"

"I've really gotta be heading home now, sorry..." he explained. "But it was nice meeting you, Todoroki! See you tomorrow!" He yelled, running off.

It was only a day.

Before meeting again at UA, Kaminari and Todoroki only knew each other for a day.
