Your assistant showed you a photo of a boy with long red hair. He looked very happy, and it looked like someone else was supposed to be in the photo, but unfortunately, the photo had been partially torn apart.

"It started freaking out when it woke up and realized the photo was gone. We had to knock it out."

"How do you know the freak out was caused by not having the photo?" You asked.

"Someone tried to give the photo back, and it seemed to calm down, but I made sure to stop them before that... thing tore their arm off. It immediately started freaking out again."

"Why wouldn't you give the photo back?" You asked. "If you knew the reason he was freaking out was because that photo was missing, then... why not give it back?"

"(L/N), this thing isn't human. I don't know why you're even trying this out, we should just kill it..."

"...give me the picture." You demanded. You grabbed the picture away from your assistant. "If he calmed down when he saw the picture, then... maybe this was someone he knew. And if he remembers that he knows this person, then that means he must have some kind of recollection of events! And if he has a recollection of events, then that means... these people are still human!"

"Heh. You're a strange person, (L/N)." Your assistant said, smirking. "Though, just in case things go wrong... I put something in its wrist while it was out. The moment I press this button, it'll have a jolt of electricity sent through its body." He held up a remote. "I'll be watching the room. If it gets too close, I'll be sure to help you."
