Part Thirty-Two

North's POV

I had lost my grip on her and when I was turning to force my way back to her, she was landing a punch on Bennett's face, hitting his nose dead centre. Blood had splurted out as he had cried out but it was her face that caught my attention, her eyes were wide and filled with anger, her mouth was twisted and she was about to launch on him again. The fire alarm was ignored as students stopped to watch the scene, there were a few other students that were on the floor along with Bennett, but I don't know how they got there and I didn't care. I only cared about her.

I gripped her around the waist and hauled her into the side classroom, Silas right behind me. I let her go to try and catch Mr B's attention but they had seen her and were pushing their way through. I turned back to Sang, she was on her knees and clutching her head and fear spiked through me so strongly that I caught hold of her again, but she fought me like a hell cat, I caught her hands easily and pinned her to my chest, but she was still fighting me and I had no idea why.

The Doc stepped in front of her and slapped her cheek sharply, I almost shouted at him, but it worked, she went limp in my arms and I realised he had brought her back.

The fire alarm stopped abruptly and Gabe stuck his head out the door and then looked back at us.

"Another fucking false alarm," he said.

"Our office, Sean!" Mr Blackbourne was barking orders and then he rounded on us. "No one does anything until we say so, understand?"

Doc took her hands and I let her go to him. Bennet must have done something in the corridor.

"I'm fucking..."

"I mean it, North!" No one does or says anything at all!" He cut me off and the fury in his eyes told me he meant it.

The Doc was sweeping Sang out of the classroom, practically carrying her, Mr Blackbourne was following, I wanted to know what was going on. I could see students were coming back in, there was no sign of Bennett and only a few kids were whispering when they saw us coming out of the classroom.

I looked at Kota who was watching Mr Blackbourne sweep after the Doc.

"Library!" he whispered and as one we moved through the corridors to the library. It was locked through classes, but Luke made short work of the lock and we were inside and shutting the door behind us.

"What the fuck is going on?" I looked around me at my brothers, they were all talking at once and heatedly.

"She just kicked out at him," Silas said and I looked over at him. I realised he'd seen it and I yelled at them to shut up and let him talk.

"She kicked at the back of his knee and he just dropped, taking a few others with him, she grabbed his hair and when he turned she punched him."

"Did he try and touch her in the corridor," I snapped at him but he shrugged.

"She tripped, I couldn't reach her," Victor spoke up, his face was white and I realised he was piecing it together. "He grabbed her, said something and turned away. She seemed shocked and then she just went for him."

"So he said something to her," Kota said, staring at the wall of books. "It must have been pretty strong for her to react like that. She lost her temper, I've never seen her lose her temper other than that time with you, North."

Yeah, I didn't need reminding of that day. I snorted and looked around at them. Nathan was pacing in circles.

"Guys," Gabe spoke quietly. "Maybe it was him and him grabbing her brought it back."
