So sorry this is almost a week late.  Thank you so much for your messages, I'm feeling much better and I just hope you all like this update.

Sang's POV

My father was gone and I don't know if he saw them hug me and I don't really care.

"Miss Sorenson," Mr Blackbourne's voice cut in and I turned to face him.  He had a black umbrella which he held over us both, the others didn't seem to mind the rain as they crowded close to listen.

"He says he just wanted to see with his own eyes that I wasn't hurt," I told him.  "Marie was nearly hysterical when she phoned.  He said that he wished he'd done things differently, that if he could take it back, he would.  He told me to tell you he would take you up on the offer."

"Which was not to contact you, so he's broken it already," he snapped angrily, but I knew he wasn't angry with me.

"I told him that if he left me alone I would leave him alone," I said and swallowed against the pain that caused.

"What do you mean?" Dr Green asked, frowning.  He was as soaked as the rest of us.

"He wanted my word that I would not report him to the officials.  I told him that if he left me alone I'd leave him alone.  He said he won't try and take me away from you again."

"Selfish bastard!" North exploded.  "He doesn't give a fuck about you, he just wants to make sure he's safe."

North's words sent another shaft of pain through me, but I knew he what he was saying was right.  He might love me a little, but his own self preservation was much stronger.

"Look, we can't stay here getting wet," Kota spoke up, he slid his hand into mine and I felt him squeeze tightly. I hung on to him.

"Quite right, Mr Lee.  Miss Sorenson, off you go with Dr Green, the rest of you, meet back at our place after you have all finished.  We'll order take out and discuss what's our next move regards Mr Drew."

"Why's she going with the Doc? Luke asked.

"None of your business, Mr Taylor," Mr Blackbourne said and I could see that they all wondered.  I would tell them, or I could tell one of them and let Academy FM do the rest of the work. No, I would tell each of them when the time was right.

I said goodbye to them and let Dr Green lead me to the car.  He held the door open for me and I climbed in, taking my coat off to stop the seat from getting too wet.  He got into his own side and we drove off.  I waved to others and then turned to face front.

"Are you cold?" he asked and fiddled with the heating system.  He looked at me, looked away and then looked back at me, before going back to looking at the road.

"Sang, are you missing something?" he asked and his voice sounded slightly husky.
