Luke's POV

I slid my hands into her hair and kissed her gently. I wanted to push her back into the bedroom and get back into bed with her and just stay there all day with her. We didn't even have to make out, I just wanted to hide out with her.

I felt her small hands on my waist and then her mouth was moving to my ear.

"Be safe, Luke, please," she murmured and I sighed, pulling her into me. I looked up at where North was leaning against the door with his arm folded, his eyes on Sang. I caught his eye, maybe staying here all day with her wasn't such a bad idea.

He shook his head at me and I shrugged. It was worth the try.

"We'll see you at school," I whispered into her ear and stepping back from her, Silas moved and took her from me. I moved over to where Kota had come to stand by North, his face serious.

"Any hint of trouble and you get straight out, school uniform be damned," Kota said firmly and I nodded at him. North was back to watching Sang even though he had already said goodbye to her.

"Grab what you can, I don't want either of us having to go back," North said and Kota nodded.

"What you can't get, we can replace. Don't bother with toiletries or anything like that, just school books, clothes and anything else you don't want him getting hold of," Kota murmured as Sang came up. I could see the worried look in her eyes and it tugged at me.

"Ok, let's go," Silas said and Nathan moved forward from where he was waiting, dressed for school already. Victor had already left to go to Silas' place to pick up his uniform and book bag, he would change at school when we got there. Gabriel had gone with him leaving Kota to bring Sang with him in the car.

We got into North's Jeep, Silas in the front and Nathan with me in the back. I knew that they would have our backs, Silas was staying with North while he packed, and Nathan was going to help me. It also meant we had someone with us if he turned up and started to cause trouble.

"You ok?" Nathan asked me as North pulled out and we waved to Sang and Kota.

I looked at him and nodded and then took my phone out and opened his app to text him.

Luke: I'm worried about North. I don't know how he's going to react if he sees his father.

He brought his phone out and kept it down where neither Silas or North could see him. They were murmuring away in Greek anyway and I don't think they noticed we were quiet. I could pick out a few words in Greek, but I had long ago learnt to let it go over my head. I trusted both of them enough to know that if they wanted to speak in Greek it was for a reason and it had nothing to do with me. Gabe wasn't here so it didn't matter anyway. My phone vibrated and I opened his message back to me.

Nathan: We're early enough to hope they're both still asleep.

It was just after seven in the morning and I knew that Uncle had been at the Diner till gone midnight, so the chances of him being up were slim.

Luke: I hope so. North is doing a good job of saying he's fine with it, but his anger tells me otherwise.

Nathan: He's got you, he's got Silas and the rest of us. He knows he can go to Mr B whenever he wants. He's going to be fine

Luke: I just wish he'd dropped dead before he came back here and screwed North up.

Nathan: Yeah. Fuckers like that just love to screw with their kids minds.

Nathan: How are YOU, Luke?

I looked over at him and he met my eyes with a raised eyebrow. I nodded once and looked back down at my screen.
