Oh my god! I'm really nervous about this now... I'm not even going to waffle before....
Except to say that this one jumps back and forth in the timeline depending on whose POV is it, but I hope it's not confusing.....
Part 117
Luke's POV
I stepped forward as the door slammed, all the humor had left me completely and I felt awful. I reached out for the door handle, I had to set things straight. I had heard enough to form a pretty good idea about what was hurting Gabriel and I had to sort it out.
"Luke," Mr B put his hand on my shoulder, stopping me. "We have to leave them to sort this out."
"But he thinks I was laughing at him! I don't know why he would even think I would do something like that."
"The issue here, is he thought Sang had revealed something to you about them being intimate together," Doc said. "They need to clear this up first. If Sang hasn't discussed it with you, she'll let Gabe know."
"If? What do you mean if?" I demanded. "Of course she hasn't said anything to me and even if she had, which she hasn't, I would never make fun of him over it!" I said, really upset that he would even think of that.
"I know, I know," Doc nodded his head at me quickly. "That was a poor choice of words on my part, Luke. I'm sorry. I know you would never laugh at him, and to be honest, when Gabe calms down he'll realise that too."
"This is a fucking mess," Nathan said, looking over at Kota.
I looked back at the door. Gabriel was my buddy, my best friend, he understood me the most and I understood him. Surely he would know that I would never, ever laugh at him like that. I rubbed a hand over my eyes.
"Give them some time," Mr B said and I nodded my head. I was feeling devastated that Gabriel thought I would do such a thing, and Sang had not been happy either, she'd hauled back and hit him one. She'd hit Gabe... I covered my face with my hands and groaned.
"It's just a misunderstanding," North said, sliding his arm around my shoulders.
"She hit him though," Kota spoke up, and I knew he was where I was mentally. I moved my hands from my face and looked at Mr B, glad of North's arm anchoring me.
"Let's at least give them a bit of privacy for a moment," Mr B said and moved towards the family room. "No one can sort this out except for them."
I looked back at the door and blew out a frustrated breath. I hated this, I hated it a lot.
"We're going to get problems, Luke," North boomed into my ear, but for once I didn't complain. "We can't expect for us to be fucking jumping around in the sunshine and daisies all the fucking time, can we?" He moved me forwards towards the family room, Nathan touched my elbow and nodded.
"He's right, we're all going to fuck up at times, get our wires crossed. We do anyway, stands to reason it's going to happen with Sang as well," Nathan told me. I knew he was right. I knew he was. But knowing it and experiencing it was two different things.
"It's a learning curve," Doc added as we all sat down in the family room. North chopped my head gently and went across to get the controller.
"We've never had a girl before either," Mr B spoke up. "But North is right, things won't be all plain sailing, we just need to keep the lines of communication open between all of us when something happens between us."
"Someone is going to have to sit down and tell her that she can't just up and slap though," Kota spoke up. "Especially Gabe; well any of us really."
