Part Fifty-Two
Sang's POV
I banged my hip once and stubbed my toes twice. I gave up when I nearly ended up in the toilet. I had managed to shave my legs and under my arms and I was relatively clean. I had got all the sweat off and I just needed to wash my hair. I wasn't even going to try that. I dressed in the yoga pants and baggy t-shirt that Gabriel had packed and then went out into the living room.
"Meanie?" he looked up from where he watching Silas and North wire up the XBox to the TV.
"Would you wash my hair for me, please?" I asked him quietly.
He jumped up and came towards me straight away.
"Of course, Trouble," he said, winking at me.
He followed me back into the bathroom and soon enough I was bending over having my hair washed. His fingers across my scalp made me sigh. I was so tired that I wasn't sure how long I'd stay away tonight.
"Come on, Pizza is done!" Kota called into us just as Gabriel was rinsing out the conditioner.
"We'll wrap it in a towel for now and I'll comb it through later," he said and as he wrapped the towel around my head. I stood up, wiping my face and he leant forwards and kissed me quickly.
"Thank you," I grinned at him and he kissed me again.
He caught my hand and lead me back into the living room. The table was now covered in plates of pizza slices, garlic bread and salad that Luke had prepared.
Mr Blackbourne pulled a chair out for me and I sat down, thanking him. He put his fingers onto the back of my shoulder and then drew them gently along the back of my neck and onto my other shoulder, sending shivers down his spine.
"XBox is good to go," Silas said with a grin as he came over and sat down on my other side. Mr Blackbourne sat down beside me and I looked at him, but he was looking over at North who was bringing out the games from a bag.
"Where's Trouble sleeping tonight?" Gabriel asked and I looked over at where he had sat down opposite me. What did he mean where was I sleeping? What was wrong with where I was last night?
"Well, seeing as you've asked, Miss Sorenson can sleep in with you and Victor tonight, if she wants," Mr Blackbourne said to Gabriel but his eyes were on me. I nodded realising that they were going to share me around with the sleeping arrangements. I picked a small piece of pizza and started to nibble on it. North stood up from his chair and taking the serving spoons he ladled a pile of salad onto my plate.
"Not just pizza, Sang Baby," he said and then Silas was placing a slice of garlic bread on my plate as well.
"Just eat what you can," Mr Blackbourne murmured.
"We can set a pot going for tomorrow," Kota said as he choose his pizza slice.
"It can sit on low in the oven all day and be ready for when we come back,"
"Where are we going tomorrow?" I asked excited by the thought of being out all day with them.
"We're trekking up the west side tomorrow, we're going to make a day of it," Dr Green said. "When you get to the top the views over the lake are amazing."
"After we've eaten, Miss Sorenson, I know you are tired, but I thought we could work on some simple yoga positions that can help you relax."
I liked the idea of that and nodded as I sucked my fingers clean.
I looked up and saw Nathan watching me, his mouth open slightly, his eyes on my fingers as I sucked them. I frowned and looked down at them wondering if I had missed a bit.
