Sang's POV
Victor wrapped his arms around me from behind and kissed my neck. I melted into his hold, my hands too soapy to hold his arms.
"I have to go," he murmured between nuzzling my neck and nipping my earlobe.
"I wish you could stay," I replied, sighing as I thought of him having to face his parents alone.
"So do I," he said with a final kiss under my ear. I shivered, turning in his hold and kissing him properly.
He gave me one final kiss before leaving the kitchen and heading out. Gabriel came in with the last plate and shoved me to the side with his hip.
"Hands out of the water, Trouble, you'll end up with cracked skin. Gloves or the dishwasher... me or the machine." He grinned at the last bit, making me giggle.
I dried my hands on the towel as he washed the plate. I started to dry instead.
"So, are we headed over to Nathan's or do you want him to come here?" Gabriel asked me.
"Is he expecting us?" I asked in surprise.
"No, I don't think so," he said as he let the water go down the sink. He turned and dried his hands on the corner of my cloth and then he started to put away the plates and cutlery we had used earlier.
Feet thundered down the stairs and I left the kitchen to see Marie coming down with an arm load of washing. She saw me and hesitated slightly.
"Do you have any you want me to do?" she asked.
"I'm all caught up thank you," I replied and she nodded and went towards the laundry room.
"Ok, who's that and where is Marie?" Gabriel asked from behind me.
"I think seeing me in the hospital scared her a bit," I said quietly. "She's been different since I came home." She mostly still ignored me, but when she did talk to me she was much calmer, the heat no longer in her voice.
"Is she going out tonight?" he asked and I shrugged.
"I don't know." I followed him back into the kitchen and we cleared away the last bits quietly.
I heard her go back upstairs and shut her door and then her music came back on.
"She's getting a lot more attention at school," Gabriel spoke up as we went into the family room.
"She is?" I was surprised, but it was a good thing, wasn't it? Unless it was bad attention and she was being bullied.
"Yeah, everyone heard how you were involved in a car accident and nearly drowned. No one really knows the details, or that Hendricks was involved, but like most places it doesn't take a lot for them to figure out that we came into the school to uncover the money being stolen. From that everyone worked out that you were also involved. She's your sister, kids have been talking to her, not just about you either. Her and Danielle have made more friends than just the band kids. It's been good for her I think."
"I'm glad." I meant it as well, both of us had got a raw deal with our parents in one form or another, and I was pleased to see that maybe she would be happy now.
"What do you want to do? Who do you want to come up here with us?" Gabriel asked, pulling out his phone. I reached across and placed my hand over the screen.
"I don't want anyone else, just you," I told him. "What do you want to do? Play a game? Watch a film?"
He looked up at me and I could see the surprise in his eyes.
