Part Ninety
Sang's POV
"Text me when you get home," North told us.
"Yes, Dad," Luke said with a laugh as he did up his jacket. We were by the back entrance that lead from the kitchen outside. I had put my jacket on and wrapped my scarf around my neck.
North ignored him and looked at me.
"I'll be about a couple of hours yet. We'll stay with you tonight."
I smiled at him and seeing that no one was looking I went onto my toes and kissed him. He gripped my shoulders and deepened the kiss.
"Be careful with her, Luke," he said as I drew away.
"North, she's safe with me," Luke said and slid his arm around my waist. "We'll text you, ok?"
Luke drew me out of the back entrance and I waved bye to North. We made it a couple of steps and then he was stopping
"Hold on a moment, I forgot to tell North, wait here," he said to me and turning he ran back the few steps to where North was still standing. I watched as Luke indicated for North to get a little closer and then he was saying something quietly in his ear. North nodded and then he was slapping Luke's back and they did some sort of male fist bump, shake thing and North went back inside. Luke came running back up to me with a big grin on his face.
"You ok?" I asked him and he pulled a face and squinted at me.
"I'm supposed to be asking you that. Not that I'm complaining, but how come you came down here?"
It was dark now as we walked down the streets back to my place. He held my fingers in his and swung our arms between us.
"Nathan got called out and I needed some fresh air," I said quietly. "I was a bit bored and realised that I hadn't been outside for ages."
"We have been busy lately, haven't we," he said. "Seems ages since we went away to the cabin, but it was only a couple of weeks ago."
We reached my house and I unlocked the door and we went in. He moved into the living room as I locked the door.
"Yeah, Mr B was right," he said and I wondered what he meant. I followed him into the living room, he was stood looking at the blank wall about the sofa.
"What?" I looked as well, but could see nothing.
"You do realise that Mr B has given Gabriel the go ahead on this place. He's already setting this up. I think they're waiting for Marie to move out to really crack on with it, but some things will change straight away."
"What?" I frowned at him. I heard his words but I didn't get it.
"That TV he bought? It's for here," he said and moved forwards to brace his hand against the bare wall. "It's going here."
"Oh! I thought he was going to put it in one of his bathrooms," I said stupidly, not sure how I felt about him buying things for the house.
Luke turned and looked at me, his eyebrows went up and then he was bent double with laughter.
"His bathroom? 50 inch Flat screen and you thought it was going in his bathroom. Oh my god, Sang, I love you so much!" He came forwards and taking my hands he spun me around before pulling me in for a hug.
"Well, he has a TV in practically every the room, that was the only room left to put one in. Why is he buying one for here?"
"Because that one," He let go of me and pointed to the TV in the corner of the room. "is so old Noah had a similar one on the Ark. The remote is broken and he can't get his favourite channel on it."
