Part Ninety-Two
Sang's POV
I was too hot. North and Luke were taking up the entire bed as usual and I realised that the double bed had merits. Just not in her room.
I had woken up with a cramping pain in my lower stomach that I recognised as being the start of my period. Great. I shifted trying to get away from North and ended up too close to Luke. It was like sleeping next to furnaces and I couldn't cope with it today. I drew my phone from under the pillow careful not to wake them and saw it was 6.30. It was time to get up anyway. I crept from the bed, found some old sweats from before Gabriel's spending spree, a baggy top and went into the bathroom quietly.
By the time I was washed and dressed they were both awake. They were still lying in the bed when I went back in, side by side talking.
"There you are," Luke said with a big grin as I came in. "You should be between us."
"You guys are really hot," I said and North smirked at me, even as Luke's grin grew even bigger.
"Why, thank you, Sang baby," North chuckled. "Even more reason to be between us."
"I don't mean it like that," I said quickly and then realised how it sounded. "I mean you guys are hot, but you're hot hot, too."
"It's ok, Sang, I'd get tongue tied if I were confronted with the hotness that is the Taylor brothers," Luke said smugly, his brown eyes alight with humour.
"Well, I'm never standing in front of a mirror with you, you pervert," North said with a chuckle. "Besides, I'm the hot one, you're just lucky that Sang is so blinded by my gorgeousness that she thinks you're hot too. Once I move away from you, taking my glory with me, you will appear in your true butt ugly form, Lucian."
I giggled even as Luke huffed out his breath in protest.
"I think not, Junior," he said. "I'm the... argh!" North thumped him with a pillow.
"What did I tell you about the Junior, business!" North shouted and thumped him again. Luke grabbed the other pillow and thumped him back. They started to play fight, punches and hit being thrown. I would have joined in, but I needed some advil, so I turned on my heel and left them too it.
I was downstairs popping pills when North showed up, his shirt rumpled and his boxers slightly skewed from the fight.
"You should have stayed, I had him pinned down for you to attack," he said with a grin and then saw the pill bottle.
"Are you ok? What's wrong, Sang Baby?" he stepped towards me, his face had lost the humour and now reflected worry.
"I'm fine, just a tummy ache, really, North, I'm fine."
"Tummy ache? Is it your kidney? I should tell the Doc." Even as he was speaking he had pulled his phone from the waistband of his boxers and was hastily tapping a message.
"No!" I tried to stop him but it was too late. "North, it's not my kidney, honestly."
"Sang baby, you can't ignore pains, it could be serious..." he said firmly as my phone rang inside the pocket of my sweats. I sighed heavily and drew it out, answering it.
"Good morning, Pookie, I hear you have tummy pains, I expect I know what it is, considering where we are in the month. But if I don't make some effort to find out, North will never let it drop. Am I right?" came Dr Green's sleepy voice.
"Aww, he woke you," I said and glared at North. "I'm so sorry, Sean, and yes, you're right, I started this morning."
North was listening intently, I saw the confusion which quickly changed into comprehension and then a slight flush across his cheeks.
