Not too long and I don't know when I'll get another one up. But this was half done and I wanted to finish it and get it up tonight.
Have a great day tomorrow. :D :D
Happy Holidays
Part Eighty Three
Mr Blackbourne's POV
"It's all in hand, Mr Blackbourne."
"Excellent. For security reasons, Mr Pearson, I do not wish my name to be made known either to the agent or the seller, as per usual."
"Of course, Mr Blackbourne. I think this is an excellent choice in acquirement though, that particular area is under new development and should prove to be very marketable in the near future. Will there be any work required before finding tenants?"
"No work and no tenants yet, Mr Pearson. I'm going to be using it as a safe house for awhile."
"Of course, it is close to a few of your other team members, isn't it." The question was rhetorical and I saw no reason to answer it.
"Well, I think we are all done here," he was saying. "It has made it easier that the seller wanted a quick sell. I think, perhaps you could have bargained with him a little, because of his desire to sell quick."
"I don't have the time. I want the whole thing settled as quickly as I can," I told him and he nodded, closing up his briefcase.
"All that is left for me to do then is to finish up with the Agents and I will inform you when the deeds are ready for your collection."
"Thank you, Mr Pearson." I held out my hand to shake and getting up, smoothed down my tie more in habit than necessity. "I have to be going, but thank you once again for your help."
"Of course, it's a pleasure, as always," he shook my hand and I left his office and headed out into the early morning sunshine. It was getting colder and I quickened my steps towards the car. Sean was waiting for me and we were already late for school. We had all stayed over at Nathan's last night, unwilling to leave Sang so soon after her being kidnapped.
She had slept on the sofa with Kota wrapped around her and the rest of us close by, but it hadn't been enough to stop the soul destroying nightmare that had woken us all up in the early hours. Her cries had been heart wrenching, her fear so easy to hear, even after we had woken her. I had taken her through a series of deep breathing exercises and she had calmed enough to fall back to sleep wrapped in a cocoon of blankets and arms on the floor.
Everything had been so mucked up. We had been unable to take her through anything that would help with either her nightmares or her showers. There was always something going on.
I reached the car and slid into the drivers seat. Sean was playing a game on his phone, but he looked up when I shut the door.
"All done, Mr Property Mogul?" he teased and I bit back a grin.
"My attempts to take over the whole of Charleston are coming along nicely, henchman."
"Henchman?" he snorted and shut his phone down and slid it into his pocket. "More like the brains behind the brawn."
"If you insist," I said smoothly.
"Kota rang through while you were playing Monopoly. They've got there ok and everything seems ok with Sang."
"Seems, there's that word again," I murmured.
"She's good at bouncing back," he said. "But we could do with the rest of our lives being quiet."
I snorted and indicated to pull out onto the road.
"Once we're out of Ashley Waters..." He shrugged.
