A/N: Thank you so much for the reviews and comments. I read each one and it helps me keep going. I am so glad that you are still enjoying this story.
Poor unadulterated fluff ahead.... :D
Sang's POV
I had all nine of them seated around the table. I had spent the better part of the day getting everything ready. Owen had remained in his office for the best of the day. He had offered to help but I had told him I had wanted to do this for them. He had smiled and disappeared upstairs.
Luke had taken me to get all the items I had needed and then gone back to the Diner. Him, North and Silas were helping Uncle with a deep clean in the Diner. Victor and Gabriel had spent the day at Victor's doing something, I'm not sure what. Kota and Nathan had been doing something related to the Academy and Sean had been on the early shift at the hospital. But now, I had them all with me.
I had laid a snow white table cloth over the table and then placed the red napkins I had bought on the plates. I had laid out the glasses, cutlery and then utilised Sean's candlesticks, lighting them. I had found some heart shaped confetti pieces and spread them around the cloth. I had placed the soup in Owen's Silver Soup Tureen and had bread rolls in a basket. I had made Chicken and Bacon Pie for the main and it was resting in the warm Oven and for afters I had made a Strawberry Eton Mess, with a fruit salad in case North didn't want the cream. I had loved playing in Owen's Kitchen. He had all the gadgets I had always wanted and it made things so much easier.
"Ladies first," Owen said with a smile as I sat down in my usual seat between Kota and Victor. He held out his hand for my soup bowl and I gave it to him. Sean lifted the lid of the tureen and gave an appreciative sniff.
"It smells divine," he said. "I purposely didn't eat the apple pie at work today to make sure I had room for this."
Owen ladled soup into my bowl and I took it with a thanks. He served everyone else and I waited till everyone had some before I lifted my spoon. I had already tasted it, knew it was ok. I had cooked for them countless times, made dinner for them, but I had never been as nervous as I was now. I really wanted this to be perfect for them. My palms were sweaty as I nervously sipped at my soup, my eyes darting around to make sure they were enjoying it.
"Fucking A, Trouble," Gabriel said before spooning more into his mouth. I relaxed slightly and looked to Owen, he lifted his eyes and winked at me, spooning some into his mouth.
"Jesus, this is good," North grumbled and finishing his bowl already he was on his feet for seconds. Silas not far behind him. I relaxed and breathed out.
"I was worried I'd muck it up," I revealed.
"You haven't," Luke said. "I won't lie to you, Cupcake. This is perfect."
"I haven't eaten anything you've made yet which I haven't enjoyed," Nathan announced, standing up to get another helping from the Tureen.
"What's for afters?" Luke asked as I finished my bowl and sat back slightly.
"Eton Mess," I said and looked over at North. "I've done a fruit salad as well, you can chose."
"Baby, I'd eat whatever you gave me," he said with a grin. "But thank you for making the fruit salad as well."
"And what's for next?" Sean asked as he finished his second bowl. I stood up, happy to see the Tureen was empty and everyone had seconds.
"Chicken and Bacon Pie," I told Sean and he made a slapping noise with his lips.
"Let me," Owen jumped to his feet when he saw me take lift the Tureen. He took it from me with a smile and I thanked him. He followed me into the kitchen and set it by the sink as I crossed to the oven and drew the pie out. I had made the pastry myself and decorated it with leaves. I was no master chief but I think it looked ok.
