Part 102

Sang's POV

"Just fucking tell that motherfucker where to go!"

"Yes! He has no legal right to either of them, does he, Mr B?"

"He is still..."

"Shut up!"

"I'm not scared of that fucking asshole, if he wants..."

"ENOUGH!"

They were all talking at once, but it wasn't Mr Blackbourne who got them to be quiet, it was Uncle.

Mr Blackbourne had called a family meeting to be held at North's place. After Luke had told Mr B about the text he got from his father, Mr B had group texted everyone to meet back at the cars in ten minutes.

I had left the mall with three stuffed toys, a rainbow unicorn, a bumble bee and a teddy bear wearing a white coat and a miniature stethoscope. I loved them all, and if I hadn't known why we were being told to meet up so quickly I would have regretted leaving so soon. But I did know, and I was worried.

By the time we got to the cars, Mr B had said nothing just that we were going back to North and Luke's house. He gave the keys to his BMW to Dr Green and he drove back with Kota, North, Luke and Silas in North's Jeep with Kota driving. I knew then that he was talking to Luke and North.

Dr Green took the rest of us, and on the way home all he had said was that Luke and North's father had contacted them. But by the time we arrived back at the Taylor property, someone had alerted Uncle and he was waiting for us. He lead us into the old Victorian House, which was no further along than the last time I was here.

We had all settled into the large living room which was as in bad repair as the outside, one of the window was boarded in and it looked as if the whole place was in the process of being rewired. I had sat next to Luke and Gabriel on one of the several lumpy three seater sofas that were angled around an old fireplace that was blocked off. I could see no sign of a TV and the furniture was as rundown at the rest of the house, but I could still see signs of them living here. Pictures had been put up of the three of them to hide the holes in the plasterboard. There was a football lying in the corner of the room, a baseball bat propped up beside it with a mitt and ball, but it was the conversation that was catching my attention at the moment.

"One at a time," Uncle was saying, with his hands up. "But first, Sang, do you want anything to drink or eat?

I blinked at his words, blushed red and shook my head.

"No, thank you, Uncle."

"Ok, now, please, there is a lady present, keep your mouths relatively clean or I will ask you to leave," he said and looked pointedly at North, Gabriel and Nathan.

"I will try," Gabriel said, I didn't expect much from him. If you tied some people's hand together they found it hard to talk, I wondered if it would have the same effect if Gabriel was not to swear, I knew he struggled in school.

"Good, now, when did this text arrive, Luke?"

"This morning?" he said and North frowned at him.

"And it's taken you this long to tell me?"

"I didn't want to ruin the day, do you know how long we've been trying to get those pictures done?"

North folded his arms and nodded at him.

"Well, we all know now," Uncle said. "The question is what do you want to do about it," he looked from one brother to the other.

"He can go fuck himself," North grunted not even realising he'd sworn.
