Part Eighty-Six
Sang's POV
I couldn't wait for school to finish. Gabriel and Silas weren't in school today and at first I was worried, but Kota told me that they were finishing up the prep and getting a few other things ready for tonight's Thanksgiving Meal. I would much rather have skipped school and helped them, but Kota said that it was better for me to not draw attention to myself. At the moment Mr Hendricks was leaving me alone and they wanted it to stay that way.
So I dragged through school, the only high points were Music Lesson when Mr Blackbourne went over the notes I had learned. I hadn't been practising recently and it showed, but he knew with everything that had gone on it was almost impossible.
And then Japanese with Dr Green. He had given us all a page of poetry to translate into English, Victor's had been about Autumn, mine was a love poem and I knew from the wink he sent me, that it was only mine that was a love poem. At the end when we had handed our work back in. I had folded the original poem carefully and kept it.
By the time I left Gym with Nathan, I was extremely excited. By that time, Kota, North and Victor had all left school and gone on to Mr Blackbourne's and it just left Nathan and Luke. Nathan had Kota's car and I sat in the passenger seat with Luke in the back.
"We're going to go back to your place first, Peanut," Nathan said as we finally left the school behind.
"I need to nip back to mine and grab some stuff, Luke, you take Sang in. Gabriel is going to send you a text, Sang, telling you what to bring. I think it's going to be a long weekend. Dr Green is not back at the hospital until Saturday night."
"We're not at the Diner until Sunday," Luke spoke up from the back. He sat forward and slid his fingers onto my neck, he trailed them from side to side and it relaxed me, my eyes closing under his caress.
"I love it when we're all together," I sighed happily and Luke squeezed my neck gently and then resumed his caress with just his fingertips. The feelings he created changed subtly and I shivered.
"We like it too," Nathan murmured. "No sleeping yet, Peanut," he said and I realised he must have looked at me.
"I'm not sleeping," I sighed and shivered again when his fingertips went around to under my ear.
"Luke, pack it in!" Nathan suddenly laughed.
"Nooo," I moaned. "It feels good."
"I think I found a spot that turns you on," he whispered into my ear and my eyes flew open, he was right! What he was doing was making those sparks shiver down my spine, it was melting my bones and I hadn't even realised why it was making me feel good. I hadn't connected the two together.
"We're here," Nathan said and pulled into his own driveway. Luke jumped out of the car and opened my door for me.
"Thank you," I told him as I got out.
"No homework, thank goodness," Nathan was saying, but my eyes were caught by Luke's. He shut the door and looked up at Nathan.
"Ten minutes, or Kota will burn my ass for getting us there late," Nathan said and I wondered what would take him ten minutes to get.
"Do you need any help?" I asked him but he shook his head, grinning at us.
Luke caught my hand and before I could think about it he was pulling me towards my house.
"Do you have the list Gabe is sending yet?" he asked.
I fished my phone out, fairly certain I hadn't had any texts yet.
