Sang's POV

"I can peel potatoes," I said quietly.

I watched as North took the bag of potatoes and the knife from me and started to peel them. He looked up at me and smirked before looking back down at the potatoes.

"Luke!" I looked over at where Luke was braising off the minced beef that was going to be the base of tonight's meal.

"Just sit there and look pretty," he said with a grin over his shoulder and then jumped when the pan spat oil at him.

"Careful!" North boomed, but Luke just flipped him the finger and began whistling as he poked at the meat.

I sighed, folding my arms on the counter and just watching them. It was nice to just be; to not have to worry if someone was suddenly going throw bricks through the window. But at the same time I was getting bored.

I had been home three days now, with tomorrow being Monday, and I had enjoyed being with them knowing that we could be relaxed. Everything was falling into place and I was starting to really feel secure. I loved them, I loved them with every inch of my being, but the Bubble was definitely being constructed quietly and there was only so much I could take. I wanted to help prepare the food but I wasn't even allowed to do that.

"North, I can peel a potato," I said firmly. "Just let me help you."

"I got it," he replied and I sighed heavily, folding my arms.

"I'm not useless, North," I reminded him and he looked up at me with dark eyes that still held a touch of worry in them.

"I know you're not," he said evenly. "But I also know that walking to Kota's and back still renders you unconscious for an hour or so. Just relax and let us take over until you're back on your feet a bit more."

I was unable to argue against his argument and it made me huff out my breath. Nathan, Kota and Sean had got together with Owen and come up with an exercise plan that was designed to help me regain some strength before I went back to school. I had laughed when they had presented it to me, not because it was so organised, I expected nothing less from Kota, but because for the first two days all they had me doing was walking down to Kota's and back again. That had been yesterday and I had been utterly mortified when upon returning all I had managed to do was stagger ungracefully into the bedroom and land face down completely exhausted. I don't even remember my shoes, jeans and t-shirt being removed and placed under the covers. Today had been slightly better, I had managed to get up the stairs to my own room before landing face first on the bed. It was demoralising and frustrating.

I got up and made my way from the kitchen to see what everyone else was doing. Because it was Sunday, they were all here somewhere in the house. I stopped at the back porch and saw Kota and Nathan putting together a new trampoline. I had said that I hadn't worried if there was one out there or not, but they liked the thought of being able to bounce around on it and so I had demurred.

"Need any help?" I called out and saw Nathan lift his head to look over at me. They were struggling to get the springs to connect. It was a twelve foot trampoline and they were finding it hard to get the first ones into place without losing it the other side.

"Yeah, get Si, will you?" Kota huffed out when the spring released and Nathan jumped back with a shout, just getting out the way.

I turned and went back in and towards the family room where Silas was playing on the xbox with Gabriel. Victor was playing the piano again and I stopped for a few moments to just listen. He was amazing, the notes just flowed over me.

"Silas," I caught his attention and was sorry when Victor stopped playing to look over as well.

"Can you give them a hand with the trampoline please?" I asked and he nodded, dropped the xbox controller onto Victor's lap.
