Part Forty-Six

Sang's POV

I'd had the best night of my life. I had tried and loved new foods, not just my own but from what the others had ordered. I had dance with every one of them, some of them more than once. I had danced the Rhumba, the Cha Cha and the Waltz and I was so glad they'd taken the time teach me. Every twirl and step around the ballroom floor had made me feel as if I as floating.

But eventually, and very reluctantly on my part, we had to leave. We all went back to Nathan's and Gabriel had helped me clean my face and brush out my hair and then I had changed from the most beautiful dress in the world into yoga pants and a tank top under a baggy t-shirt that used to belong to North.

I shuffled back out of the spare bedroom and into the living room where they were all sitting around. Nathan and Luke had made popcorn and hot chocolate, but I just wanted to climb back into my dress and dance until dawn.

I went to sit on the sofa but Victor pulled me and slid me onto his lap. I cuddled in close to him and he kissed the top of my head.

"Did you enjoy yourself, Princess?" he asked quietly and I nodded, smiling. Now he had me on his lap I was starting to feel sleepy.

"I had a fabulous time, thank you all so much!" I told them. "I could have danced forever with you all."

North pulled my feet into his lap and started to massage them. It was a pleasure so close to pain for my tired feet that I groaned loudly.

"Shit, Trouble," Gabriel laughed.

"That feels so good," I murmured and closed my eyes.

"You might want to carry that up her calves, North, she doesn't wear heels enough. When she straightens her legs tomorrow she's going to feel it unless you can relax the muscles," I was dimly aware of Dr Green telling North what to do and then hands were moving over my calves and I melted into bliss, sleep following closely after.

I opened my eyes and frowned. It was dark and I was aware of whispering. I was in Nathan's bed, although I don't remember getting there. I didn't even remember saying goodnight to anyone.

"SHHH!"

"Who's there?" I called, my voice shaky slightly. I had no idea who it was, but someone was whispering.

"It's alright, Sang, it's just us," Kota said and I felt him sit on the side of the bed. "We've been called in for a job, Sang."

"All of you?" I asked as he switched on his phone to give us some light.

"Mr B and the Doc went home earlier," he said. "But the rest of us have to go. We won't be long, ok?"

"Can I help?" I asked, rubbing at the sleep in my eyes.

"Not tonight," he said and reaching out he lay me back down and leant over me. I could just about see his face in the glow of the phone and I frowned. His hair looked dark. I reached up and touched it, but it was a hat he had over his hair.

He caught my hand in his and pinned it to the pillow by my head, then he was closing the gap and kissing me.

"I wanted to do that all evening," he murmured against my lips. I smiled against him and slid my other hand around his neck.

"Be careful," I said and he kissed me again, his tongue grazed my lips and I opened for him. He kissed me slowly and I gripped the back of his neck with one hand, the other still pinned to the pillow.

"Kota... come on," a whisper came from the bedroom door and I knew it was Nathan.

"Go back to sleep, Ten, we'll be back before you know it," he whispered into my mouth and then he was lifting off me and leaving the room quietly. I snuggled back down, the edges of sleep still tugging at me.
